if i remember correctly my president was handing out money to those "billionaires" so their !!ty[..] companies and products wouldn't tank us farther than we were....he did what he thought was right to keep the economy intact....in hindsight now i say he should've let those companies and wall street bite the !!ing dust.....then all those well to do congressmen and big business investors would know what it's like to live from check to check....and since when is EVERYONE on welfare???? if that was the case then half of us in this thread wouldn't be posting our opinions......[pic]

Just in case you were beginning to think rich people were deeply misunderstood and that they feel the pain of those who are less fortunate, here's the world's wealthiest woman, Australian mining tycoon Gina Rinehart, with some helpful advice.

"If you're jealous of those with more money, don't just sit there and complain," she said in a magazine piece. "Do something to make more money yourself -- spend less time drinking or smoking and socialising, and more time working."

Yeah, let them eat cake.

Rinehart made her money the old-fashioned way: She inherited it. Her family iron ore prospecting fortune of $30.1 billion makes her Australia's wealthiest person and the richest woman on the planet.

"There is no monopoly on becoming a millionaire," she said by way of encouragement.

"Become one of those people who work hard, invest and build, and at the same time create employment and opportunities for others."

Boom. Almost too easy.

Why are people poor? Rinehart blamed what she described as "socialist," anti-business government policies, and urged Australian officials to lower the minimum wage and cut taxes.

"The millionaires and billionaires who choose to invest in Australia are actually those who most help the poor and our young," she said. "This secret needs to be spread widely."

And now it's out there.

and again i'm not hating your success(nor can i verify the validity of your statement so i will just[..]ume that your being honest here).....but what you fail to understand is while your working hard to get where you want she did not, yet because she has something you aspire for which is money, you took what she said to be gospel. Its not. Perhaps if this had come from a bill gates who did work, or a bob johnson who also worked to get their fortune, but for someone who was simply fortunate to be born into a rich family......she has no right to judge anyone else on their misfortunes in life. And you cant preach everyone getting up and getting something while at the same time pulling the rug out from people who are trying to get a leg up.........that's retarded. And this notion again that only the hardest working people get rich is bull!!. Your connections and luck get you where you need to be in life. Your background might have gotten you an interview but it was your luck that you got the position over the 10's of other people qualified people who got the job. You probably will disagree and say it was all you..........but i know your smarter then that.........millions of people work hard in life, from the dawn to the dusk.......and many of million will retire with no more to their name then what they started with. Because as stated everyone cannot be rich, everyone is not blessed with the smarts to start a business......and for those who are businesses fail, you can climb the corporate ladder but in most cases unless your kissing[..] your not going to get to the top,........in most cases that is........and i work in corporate america.......i know what i'm talking about...........industrial jobs you can get a nice penny to save up, but if your working 9-5 heavy lifting your body will give up on you before you eligible for a pension......and you still end up[..]ed out........see what i'm saying......all your talk about what is and what isnt your !!ting on people who lived this life, they are older, wiser and hard workers. But they will never be rich........it just is what it is..........and because of that you are no better then they are, you just more fortunate and have luck on your side which is awesome for you dude.......real talk......but miss me with that neo conservative bull!!........its not reality at all.

Because social mobility is such a prevalent thing... If you cant make it from the bottom to the top ITS ALL ON YOU. I mean its not like there arnt many factors that specifically keep certain people from attaining wealth. Har har har fat biitch.

Rich people like this have absolutely no idea what the WHOLE social structure is like in America and other modern societies. Social mobility is pretty much LUCK. Not even trying to be funny, it really is. Look at most of the people from the ghetto who attained wealth. They GOT LUCKY, they either had a talent, or met the right person who put them in that position.

The black guy from the ghetto who get all A's in school, graduates with a degree in engineering, he will make what? 100k a year. Good living right. He came up. But a white dude born into a family of bankers and investors will make a million a year, this is after getting avg grades, and being shewed into top schools with money.

How can a rich person sit and talk about adversity, and hard work. The system is designed so that the poor and middle class do all the work, while the rich reap the rewards.

Spoken like a true sucka, I cant emphasize enough in order for others to be rich, others have to be poor, don't think people like her dont know this, as she endorses lowering minimum wage........anyway ....a nice job is not wealth, plenty of people who have nice jobs will never be wealthy........and she is talking about real wealth not some 5 digit salary a year job..........not to knock your success at all, I'm just saying .........she was given her fortune she did not work for it......and due to that she really needs to fall back and stop trying to tell people who are breaking their backs to send their kids to school that they are in that boat because they are lazy.......

It's true I work in a mental health building and the doctors are are dumb as a box of rocks it k!lls me to do payroll and see how much he makes in comparison.
