Because social mobility is such a prevalent thing... If you cant make it from the bottom to the top ITS ALL ON YOU. I mean its not like there arnt many factors that specifically keep certain people from attaining wealth. Har har har fat biitch.

Rich people like this have absolutely no idea what the WHOLE social structure is like in America and other modern societies. Social mobility is pretty much LUCK. Not even trying to be funny, it really is. Look at most of the people from the ghetto who attained wealth. They GOT LUCKY, they either had a talent, or met the right person who put them in that position.

The black guy from the ghetto who get all A's in school, graduates with a degree in engineering, he will make what? 100k a year. Good living right. He came up. But a white dude born into a family of bankers and investors will make a million a year, this is after getting avg grades, and being shewed into top schools with money.

How can a rich person sit and talk about adversity, and hard work. The system is designed so that the poor and middle cla#s do all the work, while the rich reap the rewards.
I agree with some of what your saying, but those last 2 paragraphs are somewhat non sense... First of all; your getting into a different issue with the "black guy" statement which is way to general because all black guys are not the same, do not grow up the same places, got to the same schools etc.. it seems as if your arguing the basis of equality.. Secondly; we already know that jobs in which your job title adds to the intrinsic value of society are not compensated accordingly.. this society VALUES ENTERTAINMENT above all even though it may not objectively increase the well being of its citizens....

If you're "broke" (whatever that means to you) and you have 4 sources of income in one household, then the problem is what's going out is more than what's coming in, which is a budgeting issue.

In short, you're "broke" because of your own money management skills.

"If you're jealous of those with more money, don't just sit there and complain," she said in a magazine piece. "Do something to make more money yourself -- spend less time drinking or smoking and socialising, and more time working."

I don't think anything is wrong with that. She started with, "if you're jealous." I'm not going to say everyone can be rich, but most people, if they chose to, can make enough money to satisfy their basic standard of living, with money left over. By all means, I'm poor, but my lack of ambition and work ethic are pretty much to blame. I live alone, have cars, and all that crap, but its not like I can wake up and buy a brand new zz383 engine if I want (aka spend 5 racks). I could only imagine having a wife to go half on these bills with....oooo weee....LS motors here I come.

It's only funny because this fat slob wouldn't know how to survive on 20k salary. Much less become wealthy on her own.

Poor people also drink, smoke and socialize beyond their means as well tho. I'm not siding with her but she does have a point. That point is being missed tho because she got her money through an inheritance which I understand as well...my mom pa#sed away so I'm still getting inheritance checks from her estate. [pic]

this, she even !!ed over her own children, lied to them and said that the capital gains tax would wipe out their inheritance that was left to them by their grandparents and convinced them to allow her to manage the estate, in doing so she changed the vesting date of the trust to 2068 which means they will pretty much never see the money, screwed them out of about a billion dollars each.

she's a greedy fat [!]

As truly !!ed up as that is. That was a brilliant move by her. Man, her kids have got to hate her over that.

Kids will hate her but I think she made the right move. She was given the money and made it grow exponentially, and as much as I hate her comments I will give her props for doing that. Considering she lived with her kids for years and saw what their abilities were, she probably felt they couldn't maintain the wealth and would squander it.

Thing you have to remember is parents can leave the kids out of their will or property rights if they feel the kids don't have the ability to spend it in the correct manner.

The !! is a [!] but she is smart. The kids hate her for it but I give her props for having the balls to do this.

^^^^^Yeah but they literally never see the money, either because they'll be dead before then or too old to enjoy it smdh. Me personally, I have a problem with her saying the things that she did simply because she is not an example of her take on success, as she was one who inherited her wealth, and most likely either simply followed the same manner of doing business that her parents used and/or the same parties that were instrumental in their family's success , i.e the same accountants, executives, business partners, policies etc. It isn't hard to maintain or augment your success if you're simply continuing or following the same blueprint that made her family's company the success that it is. Also, her agreement is rather broad because I work very hard-I work three jobs, rarely drink, do not smoke or take drugs, have little time to "socialize" except for the little time I can with my girlfriend or my daughter, barely eat out because again I don't have the time, and I budget myself to take care of my bills without living beyond my means. I am college-educated, have 2 undergraduate degrees and 1[..]ociate degree, great work experience and I constantly network within my day job to get a better position and/or move up through the company but to no avail. So, my thing is, how does her so-called advice apply to someone like me who doesn't fit ANY of those retarded statements she made?!! It makes me angry when someone that hasn't struggled or worked hard make it seem so simple as to how we, the so-called poor people can do better, like tomorrow someone is going to magically change their life around just by following this foolishness, cause if that's was the case everyone on here would be as rich or almost as rich as her by next week smdh. I'm not saying that they're some who may "fit" that type, but that is not the majority nor is it the clear black and white of the matter. There are clearly other various circumstances why someone may or may not be as rich and as successful as she is.
