Are you too obtuse enough to say they're grounded in the same ideal? Ain't NOBODY in this thread comparing who struggled harder[pic]

Never understood why people be so mad at what people do behind closed doors and in the privacy of their own houses.

Like, how does someone being gay affect anyone?

How is a gay parade any more offensive than a Puerto Rican parade, or any of the other parades that happen? The only difference is that the people parading have a different se#ual orientation than you..

I have no problem with gay people but I'm starting to board the same boat as people who cited disliking them for parading it in your face.

My sister's a lesbian and has nothing but disgust with the gay community after the whole Chick-Fil-A thing, that seems to be something quite a few friends also feel.

It's a parade !

And what's the point of this parade ?

Beside half nak#d man rubbing each others in public.

Russia did a good thing.

Look, my philosophy is this...

If the parades are annoying, don't go to them. I sure as !! don't.

It's difficult for me to understand the homophobia here. I don't particularly care either way about it, as it doesn't affect me or the way I live my life in any way. So, why should I give a damn about the gay dudes at a parade that I'm not even gonna go to. Just let 'em have it, and move the f*ck on.

I guess the idea is this:

So many gay people are told not to be who they are.

Just like so many Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Black people, etc.

And, this one parade is the one time out of the year that they get to expose their culture to the public, like the Puerto Rican parades, etc.

And, let 'em have it. I don't enjoy half nak#d men rubbing against each other, so I'm just gonna not go. See how simple of a solution that is? They can do their thing, you can do your thing, and no one will have their rights trampled on.

Nope.

What's happen in the public place concern everybody and the community has the right to ban some type of comportement.

This so called gay parade is clearly a decadent manifestation: must be prohibited.

Gays can do whatever they want in their privacy but the society doesn't have to accept all their caprices.

1. What do you call "gay culture" ? The only thing the so-called gay culture is about is se#uality. All the gays manifestations are about se#.

2. These manifestations take place in public, so you don't have the choice. nak#d mans rubbing each others in public is against common decency and the basic rules of society.

I guess no one has told you the definition of "public"... So, here it is...

Definition of public

adjective

1. of or concerning the people as a whole:
public concern
public affairs

open to or shared by all the people of an area or country:
a public library

of or involved in the affairs of the community, especially in government or entertainment:
he was forced to withdraw from public life
a public figure
Open to all, which means all people can use the space. If the KKK wanted to have a parade through your street, the law allows them to do it. No one can stop them from doing it, because IT IS THEIR RIGHT TO DO SO, whether you or I disagree with it.

1). That's a stereotype, and a rather ignorant one too. Generalizations like that are wildly unfounded, so I'm not even gonna try to answer something so patently false.

2). Yeah, i do have the choice. i can just not go to the parade. I can just stay home, go to the movies, eat at a restaurant, play video games, etc. None of those things have the threat of a bunch of gay people busting in and grinding against each other.

And, about these rules of society, what do you mean? Common decency is, for better or worse, subjective from person to person based on how they were socialized, the cultural environment they were brought up in, etc.

Pretty much.

I've never been to a Puerto Rican pride parade, probably never will. Never been to a gay pride parade, probably never will. But thats because neither really mean anything to me. I have no problem with either of them, but It's just my perrogative not to go.

Doesn't mean they should be robbed of their right to celebrate their culture tho. I don't think anybody should be. Ever.

niccas is so funny. So people should be stripped of their basic human rights because you think what they do in their personal lives is "yucky" [pic]

It's because the ones (especially dudes) that bash Gays are usually closeted homose#uals themselves...

It's like the little girl in elementary school that hits you and calls you names only because they like you.

It's a macho front dudes put on but it's transparent and easy to point out.

What the next man does in his personal time should be of no concern unless it's effecting your health, family or money...
