True but how far will the insurance Companies go to nickel n dime you because of the way you/we drive. Don't be so quick to support this....It could backfire on us.

Scary thing is, if we don't pay attention , this could become mandatory..

damn, how incorporated into ppls lives do other ppl want to be???? they get to charge you on your driving patterns to try and anticipate that you might or might not have an accident and they charge you accordingly??? wtf??? this is just another reason for them to justify charging you higher rates and attempting to prevent accidents so that they can keep all that money. if you never get into an accident, you never get that money back. what about a refund at some point? this would put cops outta business though. cats would be so worried about raising their rates, they wouldn't speed and wouldn't get pulled over for tickets. bet you see a spike in improper use of turn signal tickets or some other bull!!. they find ways to squeeze money out of ppl. !!'s ridiculous.

Unless the government gets a piece of that extra money I don't see them letting insurance companies making this permanent. Like someone said if they do this then everyone will drive much more carefully which would cut traffic tickets way down. Cops would never meet their quotas OR they would have to charge a lot more for a traffic ticket. Tickets are already ridiculous. I got a ticket about 3 years ago and the cop clocked me at 12 mph over, he gave me a ticket for 6mph over and the ticket was still $140. That is crazy for only 6mph.

Both these comments work well off each other.

Classic cars have less safety and gain value after you drive them off the lot..

Classic cars > Modern

They can't dictate rates based on one single persons driving pattern. They can already deny you insurance if you drive like a !! aka speeding tickets this is no different. Those of you !!ing an moaning don't understand that those that get into accidents cause your rates to go up not just theirs. Insurance is a business, they do NOT want you if you drive unsafe. When i sell insurance all i hear is but i'm a great driver why is my rate so high. Well prove it put this !! on and drive safe an get you a discount. There's many companies like progressive that will write anyone and that's why the majority know them. But try to get into a company like southern owners in FL and you will see there are very good insurance companies that are incredibly cheap because they refuse to take on liability. It's just fact, companies with less exposure are cheaper. That's what they are trying to do with these. By adding these to your car they can give you a cheaper rate to keep you around longer because you drive safer than most. You are very low risk to them. So the majority of your premium is profit.

Everything is made out to be a doomsday device when in reality it's actually benefit to everyone that drives safe and doesn't mind having it. People will never be truthful with insurance so they have to take on their own measures to cover themselves and everyone else they insure.
