Think it's a good deal? lol. Only $600 for that CPU + a 24" inch flat screen LCD monitor.

alienware for that price is good. How's the processor speed?

I'll OC it Doe Stacks. It's not pre-OC'd.

The processor is Pentium Core 2 Duo. nVidia GeForce 8600GT and nVidia GeForce 5600. I'm upgrading the 5600 to a 9800GT though.

@ Jutsu. The processor speed is 2.67 GHz.

It's a hook up, but it's a legit hook-up.

@ Franchise. I like laptops too, and don't get me wrong, this one does what I need it to do by a long shot. It just doesn't have good cooling so it overheats alot of the time.

@ Nobody. It's an Acer 5730Z. Intel Pentiuam Dual Core processor clocked @ 2.16 GHz/each (to avoid confusion that I added them together). 3 GB of RAM. 160 GB HD. It has a cd & dvd reader & burner. 2.0 MP crystal eye webcam. Bluetooth capabilites. And an SD memory Card slot.

you still never posted what processor it is... and you never posted what processor is in the laptop neither...all you said is Core 2 duo....

considering the fact that its 2 different graphics card...there is no way that they are running in SLI...is 1 of them being used for Physics?

IMHO i would scrape both cards and get something more decent... at least a GTX 260

I believe it's Quad Core. I know this laptop is Dual Core. And I don't have the money to get a better graphics card. hence why I'm selling my laptop just to get the cpu. I'll upgrade later on, just not right now.

Perhaps you should take a look at these benchmarks before you say "2.67 GHz aint s**t".

PassMark CPU Benchmarks - Common CPU's

Anyways, I purchased an i7 920 at 2.67 GHz, and it definitely exceeded the phenom II x4 955 at 3.2 GHz.
