The Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Bandwagon?

Who's jumping on all homo? I am. I'll be the first to admit, I did support this game because of what it is and I was half-heartedly thinking it wouldn't be much of a distinguished MMO experience compared it its competition; I thought it'd just be an MMO with Star Wars thrown in for good measure.

But then my cousin showed me REAL gameplay today (didn't know they've had it for so long) and I'm proud to say that I'm on the bandwagon and will be checking for this !! constantly. Once I get a good[..] laptop, I'm def playing this !!. He showed me a walkthrough and the !! was like a co-op Mass Effect/KOTOR in MMO format. !! was like a real fleshed out console RPG, but as an MMO. !! was like taking a massive dump while busting a nut, but as an MMO.

It has actual dialog between player and NPC. Not no click, choose quest, read text, go k!ll X amount of things, go back, read more, get loot World of Warcraft/standard MMO !!.

One ill !! is how the player ended up dual-wielding. Dude was in the middle of a quest with another player in the MMO I believe (I was high as hell so I'm not sure if it was a partner NPC or a REAL player, I'm betting it was the latter, but then again thought it was a single player game about 1/2 through the !! so my word isn't 100% at the moment). They end up going through mad !!, mad dialog, random fights, etc, etc, then at the end another Jedi pops out, they go at it for a minute, the player k!lls the Jedi then loots him for his lightsaber, equipped it, and he was dual wielding it. Didn't develop the ability with stat points, didn't have to buy a saber himself, he just swiped it off dude and ended up dual wielding.

I think this game is gonna be pretty inviting to people who don't really like the classic MMO gameplay cuz this one really has its own action oriented kind, and it has the Star Wars tag on it, so you know Jedi's usually = auto focus for a lot of people.



There's a good bit of gameplay for those who haven't seen it yet.

btw to everyone, i'm still boarding the bandwagon so I haven't highlighted everything dope about this game. Gotta get caught up on all this !!, there's a lot of gameplay elements I've been neglecting like hell.

whens the release date?

None yet, maybe beta testing middle of the year cuz the game is progressing pretty well.

Release will probably be in Sept. of 2010.

Yeah, I'v been waiting for this to come out. Kinda sick of playing warcraft.

Yeah, new patch is nice. Just getting kind of old doing the same stuff.

Hope they make some kinda announcement of a release or beta tomorrow night at the VGAs since they're supposed to be showing something of the game.

real talk...you can only farm ToC so much till it gets old...ICC will be fun hopefully...so far the first 4 fights been a blast...especially the Gunship battle...!! is fun as hell...so far 3.3 ftw...

I do love the new dungeon finder tool. Just been doing that last couple days. !!s pretty fun.
