Alienware Laptops?

I'm looking to get into pc gaming (mainly cause of Battlefield 3) and i wanna start out with a laptop. would the M17x be able to run BF3 as is or will i have to do some upgrading to it?

Well, which setup out of the 4 you looking to get is my first question. There's a lot of options there to choose from.

Being honest with you, these laptops wouldn't have a problem running bf3. My only complaint is the pricing. If you want to customize anything it costs a lot. I took the cheaper priced model did a few changes and i was looking at $2k for a laptop and that was before going into any options for peripherals. If you have the money then i guess go for it but if you have that money you could make a great desktop pc as well.

I know people who bought alienware labtops and they crap on them after a few months, If you want to spend that much on a labtop get the ASUS G74SX it's under $1700 runs a 560m 3gb ddr5 and also have have a 2 Year Standard Warranty and 1 Year Accidental Damage Warranty, for $200 more you could get the 3D verison of the labtop

I got a Asus G53 for $790.. added 8gbs of ram for 35 bucks i'm at 14gbs of ram right now and bought a xbox controller for 29 bucks.. this laptop is a beast.

laptop comes with 6gb plus 2 open slots.. and a extra hard drive bay for a 2nd hard drive.

whatever you do don't buy these ricer overprice !!ty laptops in fact don't buy anything DELL!!
