It's prob not ''essential'',
but def better than using the DualShock3 as a controller to watch movies...

get hdmi's from online i cant remember the one site a lot of people went to byt i got mine from mycablemart got 2 hdmi's registered for 1080p 120hrz delivered for 20 bucks

thats the one i got 2 of same quality as the high end monster cables just not payin for the name like you would in the store

For the HDMI cable, you can try MonoPrice
According to people on Boxden, it's the best site for cheap/good quality HDMI cables...

For the remote, you could try Amazon

Make sure your hdmi cable is 10ft or greater. Dont buy a 6 ft one, I didnt realize how short they were.

I also bought my remote from amazon.

u got the ps3....get a decent tv to play on....MLB the show 10/heavy rain/uncharted 2 any or all of the above...get a fat sack of trees with your choice of smoking device n rock out homey...haha

Why not 6 feet HDMI cables? I use 6 feet with no problems, but just wondering. Does this degrade quality or something?

No 6 ft is actually optimal length for HDMI cables anything over 12' isnt reccommended

This is so funny man cause i'm on my way to bestbuy to pick up that remote along with the Saints Superbowl blu-ray. I'm tired of using the remote
