Amazon restocks PS3 MGS4 80GB bundle

Retailer Amazon.com this week restocked Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 Pack after the SKU held a discontinued status at retail.
The Metal Gear Solid 4 Pack, which includes software-based backwards compatibility, held a price of $499.99, above the current $399 80GB SKU.

The bundle SKU was originally released to U.S. retail in June.

Current PS3 hardware models do not include backwards compatibility with Playstation 2 and Playstation software.

Target stores this month began offering a new 2-game bundle PS3 bundle.

The bundle includes an 80GB PS3 and two Greatest Hits titles – Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm for $399.

Each PS3 includes a built-in Blu-ray disc drive to view high-definition titles.

Amazon this month began offering a 53 percent off Blu-ray sale and a 50 percent off Blu-ray disc promotion.

Sony's PS3 sold 218,000 units to rank No. 4 in Mar. U.S. sales.
