| GIVE PROPS QUICK MSG a d ![]() $2,580 | Rep: 13741349 | Eve: Her Side of The Story And then Eve said… “The Garden of Eden is like a broken snow globe… As soon as it shatters and unravels into shards of nothing, its existence becomes meaningless in the eyes of its creator. I am one of the shards of nothing that sits uncomfortably between the peak of purgatory, and the bottom soles of God’s shoes. I live pinned under his foot and stamped into the collective consciousness of mankind. I guess I am famous in that way. Many say that I am responsible for the fall of man. But, all I wanted is what was denied from us from the start: knowledge… or at least the ability to choose whether I wanted such a thing. You can tell Adam that he can have his rib back. I no longer need it. I can walk this earth with an empty base that is filled with ideas… I will heave over myself like a deflated balloon, because his rib was the only reason why I ever existed in the first place. I was given the other half of a man instead of being created as a whole being. I am ‘half’. I am incomplete. I’d rather give the rib back, and become nothing and revert back into a mere thought in the celestial consciousness of my creator than be incomplete. I am an unfinished symphony buzzing in the ears of God like a fly or mosquito to coax your skin into giving away your blood. I am the mother of this planet, but the bastard child of its descendants. I am an unwanted memory like the voice of a past lover. I am thee… The slithering lust for reason that haunts your dreams, and shapes your tomorrows, and defines the curves of your body. The soul is the link that binds physical presence and spiritual presence together in an uneasy marriage of child-like discovery and otherworldly knowledge. My soul shattered, and as a result of scattered debris too strewn to recover, you inherited pieces of my soul, which you now call “women’s intuition”. It is war-torn wisdom. Use it with caution. And then there was Adam… I really used to love Adam once. But, much like everyone else… he blamed me. Eden was broken. I can feel her collapsing in my soul, and I was powerless to stop it. Adam was determined to make good with God after he failed. He resented me with all of his being. Adam had a choice. I used to love Adam. He used to love me. But now his face is becoming unfamiliar to me. I want to be a whole being, and not just half of something that is already created. I hate feeling unfinished. Why do I feel like I’m a lie? A joke with no punchline, and why must I suffer through salvation that is too expensive? Can I be saved? I wish that God would listen to me. I wish he wouldn’t put my voice on mute. I wish that Adam would look at me like he used to, and not with incriminating eyes that enunciate resentment and failure. Adam, we broke Eden. She is dead because of us. Every plant has dried into the dirt, and every dream has shriveled into romanticized visions of an unromantic past. Eden is dead, Adam. Why do you not care? She gave us a home, and we broke her. We allowed her to be molested by the voice of a serpent. We did this. Adam, are you even listening anymore? Am I nothing to you? Is it because I am your half? EDEN WAS MURDERED… I just want to live in the lush fields and allow the leaves to gently brush against my skin like secrets. At least then, I felt complete. At least then, I felt alive. Please, take your rib back. I can live without it. I can live without you. I’d rather become nothing than to have a piece of you inside of my body. Your rib is a plague. Your rib is a series of broken remedies that is killing me. You take it, and keep it, and never bring it back here. I am Eve, the mother of your planet, and the keeper of your sins. Whisper me back into the Bible pages, because this entire world and all of your faces act as mirrors that reflect every flaw that my ‘sin’ supposedly spawned. Do not offer me your pity. You owe me for my soul. So please, pay me back by actually using it.” Amen…

I just had to toss that in there real quick... lmao And, maybe this is just gender bias on my part, but I personally never blamed Eve for what happened... I looked at my Bible sideways when Adam turned around and blamed his woman... God, for creating the woman... everything.. Usually the person pointing fingers every which way is the one to blame... |

| GIVE PROPS QUICK MSG a d ![]() $79 | Rep: 173700 | I enjoy the poem. it's ironic that most women now days feel that they need a man to "complete" them and in this poem Eve rebels from that stereotype. How can Eve be fully responsible for the fall of man? Adam had a choice to refuse to eat the forbidden fruit and he didn't. |
