New photo shoot (july 15th)

new shoot today..clients finally coming threw..thank god

but ya every shoot has been so valuable its crazy. I can actually relax now while shooting and just do my thing.

but..pda..umm any other "pros"..a lot of my pictures on this one..the outer edges of the face were blurry. like "bleeding" onto the background almost..what the hell is going on. I had VR on and all that. have a really still hand. Happend on my other shoot also as yall pointed out.

what were you shooting with brah? lens and cam wise

they're good. too bright for me though, lol but i like dark !! (idk y lol)

id say the blurryness is happening because of the lens. 18-55 comes with the camera for a reason. its training wheels till u move onto a big boy bike.

i see an improvement in your work tho so thats cool.

a new lens would probably help.

lol..he asked if i had a mic i could bring. and i had this from like 07-08. But why aint it a real mic lol?

i was looking at the mic too.. I used to have one like that and that pop blocker. lol

What were the settings you used for some of these photos? I know with kit lenses they are normally pretty soft and you get a lot of chromatic aberration. I don't see the CA, but its strange that your pics are so soft that they look out of focus like in your sixth pic.

What was your reasoning for using the VR function on a bright sunny day when you typically use high shutter speeds?

I'm just getting back to this section, but do all of your pics normally come out this way?

It's more than likely you lens. Try the 50mm prime. It's a great cheap lens for about $100.00

Fam. First & foremost throw that lens you're shooting with in the garbage. Get a 35mm 1.8 lens for $200 and get a 50mm 1.4 lens. Learn 2 shoot with prime lenses they are the sharpest len's out there. PLus you'll save money and get better composition skills as a photographer.

but actually i had the money for "the new thing" and i copped the sb-700..well..well worth it..ill take a off camera flash over a new lens any day

Yea that is kinda corney....but other than that the pics are dope. The mic does kinda take some of the attention away from him, but i like it

You're definitely getting better from when you were first posting your photography. I really like the ones with the graffiti behind him. Those are gritty as !!.

Not much creativity going on here is there? Seriously ask your clients what they enjoy doing at least try and include some of their personality in their photos.

I'm sure MC Usb Cable wouldn't have been the most thrilling client to work with, you could've at least told him to put a shirt on!
