Jan 9 - How do you burn DVDs?

Yeah i know its a silly question..but I have 2 comps with dvd burning capabilities n i never used it cause i dunno how.

Both of your computers have DVD Drives? If they do, then, first, you need any kind of DVD Burning Program to burn the DVD's. Depending if you use a CD-R(RW) or a DVD-R you'll need to set the settings right. If you're using a CD-R(RW) then you should set it to burn on VCD or SVCD. Obviously you should set it to burn DVD if you're burning onto a DVD-R.

If you want, you can "shrink" the movie size using a few different programs but one well known one would be DVD Shrink. This is ideal if you're going to be burning onto a CD-R(RW) but if you're using DVD-R's then it doesn't really matter unless you have a 2 1/2+ hour movie. I'm not positive but I think most DVD-R's hold like 1 1/2-2 hours of space on the disk but I could be wrong.

It also depends on the Program you get to burn DVD's. You'll have to follow their own guidelins/instructions.

Nah i mean like Do i really have to convert them 2 a different format? is there a DVD .avi burner or somethin?
