Hard Drive

so my comp !! on me, i bought a new 500gb hd, redid everything but i was wondering if i connected my old hd as a slave, would i be able 2 go in there and save my music??? or would it fuk things up cuz i got windows and !! on there too

and if any1 has any clue about this !! i would appreciate it sooo much, so i got my new hd, it was runnin good, got my !! all updated and it started runnin insanely slow, couldnt even play a single song clearly, so i did a system restore back before all my windows updates and its runnin great again. ive been goin 2 all the same sites, did a virus check nothing found, it seems like it was just gettin all !!ed up from all these priority security updates from microsoft, any1 else experienced something like this??? im really pissed off that they would !! my system up like that

the security patches should not have made it slow, was it slow on the new hard drive? or just the old one? also you can conect your old drive as slave. it should work fine no matter what OS is on it. the just go through the file tree and copy your old files. or just go get a cheap external usb hd enclosure and you can use it as a portable drive.
