Red face topic by KAPITAL85 - 11-02-2010, 07:12 AM - Boxden > The Money Spot (finance/careers)

CURRENTLY I LIVE IN MIAMI FL AND I WANNA GET THE #### OUT OF HERE. JOBS PAY #### AND THE TRAFFIC IN THIS DAM CITY IS HORRIBLE. MAYBE MOVE UP TO ORLANDO OR SUM #### OR ANOTHER STATE WITH CHEAPER RENT. I MEAN #### IM PAYING 945 FOR A 1 BEDROOM I THINK WITH THAT RATE IN ANOTHER STATE I CAN GET A 2 BEDROOM FOR THAT PRICE AND STILL HAVE SOME LEFT OVER. WHAT STATE WOULD YOU CONSIDER THAT HAS THE LEAST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE?

ALSO IF I MOVE HOW WOULD I DO IT DO I NEED TO DRIVE OR FLY TO LOOK FOR A JOB FIRST.
HELP A BROTHER OUT?

its hard finding work in a state you have no family or friends in and trying to start a new life with out saving uo some money first.

Save a couple thousand and do some research, also whats you occupation?

It's all the same, if you move to a place like Ohio and the the rent for a 1 bedroom is 500/mth the pay will be less than what you made in Miami where you were paying 945/mth. It all works itself out, but if your just moving cause of the traffic than thats another story, but the pay and costs for living are usually all realtive to the location.

just look for states with low unemployment rates, and go from there.

The top 5 States with the lowest unemployment rate include:

1. North Dakota – Unemployment rate is 3.6%. Major industries include agriculture, petroleum, food processing, and tourism.

2. South Dakota – Unemployment rate is 4.4%. Major industries include the service sector, primarily retail, health and finance. Ellsworth Air Force Base is the 2nd largest single employer in South Dakota and agriculture is a major contributor to it’s economy.

3. Nebraska – Unemployment rate is 4.7%. Major industries include agriculture, freight transport, telecommunications, manufacturing, and information technology.

4. New Hampshire – Unemployment rate is 5.8%. Major industries include agriculture such as dairy, cattle, and apples. The state also produces machinery, rubber, electric equipment, and plastic. During the winter, many tourists head to this state for it’s ski slopes.

5. Vermont – Unemployment rate is 6.0%. Farming is the driving force behind Vermont’s economy which includes logging and dairy production. Other industries helping the economy are manufacturing, insurance, and tourism.

Im planning to move to texas when i get a chance. hoping on gettin a high paying IT job with an oil company and making 6 figures per year.

DMV area is supposed to be the best right now in America for jobs. Idk if that's true but I do know I live in Delaware applied basically EVERYWHERE I could locally over the past year. The first place I applied last summer called me in for an interview but didn't hire. I was in VA a week applied at like 6 places, all called for interviews and I got 2 right now that seem like they wanna hire.
