Questions about unemployment

can somebody break it down to me how unemployment works? i recently lost my job and i applied for unemployment but the process has been stuck on "review" for over a month. i was told i need to make three job searches but most of my job search are on career builder. does that count at all or i have to go to a company physical location and apply. i need someone to guide me because right now the bills are piling up .

i forgot i also plan on going to school and i dont know how that will affect me receiving benefits? serious response and no jokes we all cant be rich on this site.
