If you came in to bash MLM, please exit the thread now.

I've been reading a bit on these forums, and this isn't the first time I've been around MLM, and sales in general so I'm not too much of a noob.

One of my very close friends got me the other day to go to a meeting, and it was to his friends place right by the University of Texas.

It ended up being Organo Gold and they didn't BS me with the "you can be financially free with this," Instead they told me that honestly they just started a few weeks ago and are starting to break even, and are showing me the proof. They also showed me the person who sponsored them and how much he's been making (not thousands, but decent enough to pay bills).

So he let me try the coffee myself, and I thought it was pretty good. He then gave me a sample, I brought it to my mom to try and she absolutely loved it.

So I'm thinking I should at least start with the smallest size pack and if this MLM stuff isn't my thing, I could just sell all of the coffee to my family, because my mom said she loves it and is sure everyone else in the family is.

Does the Money Spot of BX think I should embark on this journey?
I'll be in school so I won't have all the time in the world to do this but I am willing to give it some time out of my week.

Weezywayne and a few others that know all about MLM, I would love to hear your opinion.

yeah i know what you mean, i've been in that position before with some energy drink MLM, and with Vector Marketing even though that's kinda comparing apples to oranges.

i was talking to my friend who was trying to sponsor me and he told me nothing would change between us if i decide not to do it. he even admitted he was skeptical at first about it too

Little bit of spending money is a tough task in mlm. Lets say for every person under you, meaning anyone who signs up under you and the people that sign up under them, you get $7.50 for every $150 they spend on the packages, you would need 20 people to just break even.

So you would have to hope, the very few people you can convince to sign up under you, can also get a few people of their own to sign up under them, and so on. And hope they have $150 monthly to shell out on these packages, until they can start at least breaking even, or hope they can hustle the product to make some of their money back.

And remember, thats just to break even. double that to just make another $150 a month for yourself, unless you are one of the very very few, lucky enough that the people that signed up under you are able to convince others to sign up under them and stick with the program. Trust that it's going to take time/money/effort to even make "a little spending money"

Not sure if you all watch The Amateur Millionaires Club on Centric, but it's a show about very wealthy MLM. A couple of them do Organogold. I'm in World Ventures. I dont see why more people dont at least try out MLM. You could break even with minimal effort.

if you feel something telling you to do it, then go for it..if you believe in the product and passionate about it, then it is for you. any mlm that you join you will take baby steps to advance. no one starts off big and you have to leverage time and money through others to be successful as well as be willing to help others make money. if you are a selfish person all about "I", then mlm is not for you. even if you dont join, you can become a customer if you enjoy the coffee and the people should respect your decision. if you do join, your mom will be your number one customer and she will put others on to you. go with what your heart feels..if you dont feel comfortable with it like you are being pushed to join, then that is a red flag not to join. best of luck to you in whatever you decide.

its around 500 mlm companies here in the USA so its plenty to choose from..i know of a Canada based mlm company called true star and they just broke into the USA back in May. im sure the first people here will be the wealthiest for the USA market since everyone else who joins will fall under them unless someone surpasses them...

MLMers in my town never show me their money ..........they are always bringing in someone else who is rich.
