Lil off topic but this company is bulls**ttin my brother. help

alright my brother..just graduated school and is applying to jobs and what not

applied for a Recruiting Manager for this Medical Recruiting company. Got a reply back quickly from his resume and got 2 interviews real quick. He said they went real well and everything. Just the only problem. he really has no medical experience or too much recruiting experience cept for the recruiting he did as a manger at a grocery store (hiring and what not)

anyways, the company said they would get back to him ASAP. been over 2 weeks now and he has emailed them twice and called once and left a real polite voice mail to them (i was there telling him what to say lol).

Anyways this company is d*cking him. He just wants a response if he got it or their still interviewing

I told him it has to be two situations. Either, they are still interviewing/ are looking for someone more qualified or they are not good at telling someone no thanks or don't want to hire them. I kinda can understand the 2nd situation because my brother is extremely nice and polite to where it's annoying and the person he interviewed, sounded really nice

anyways, can anyone give him some advice or help him out. He doesn't want to annoy them or get rude with them but he kinda deserves to hear back from them

Yeah he needs to applying to more places. Then if they job calls back and is better than his current job then he takes the better job. But dont sit around not doing anything waiting on jobs to call you back.

why dont he go back up there? thats better than calling, ask to speak with whoever intereviewd him about status

Well he shoulda sent them a thank your letter either through mail or email. He shouldn't put all his eggs in one basket and just keep looking for other jobs. Its tough right now being that the unemployment rate is pretty high. Tell him never let a job get his hopes up until he is actually hired.

he actually did that. Sent them a thank you email. but ya. i agree. Its kind of his nature. idk

Keep looking. Usually if they dont decide in a week then he didn't get it. If they REALLY wanted him they would have called in 2 days. Tell him dont stop applying and not to get is hopes up on one job.

Yeah Bro. Lotta jobs seem to do that kinda thing a lot. He just need to move on while he waits. I'm sure if your brother is the good dude you say he is, he'll be blessed. Time is patience...

i use to work in human resource..........listen.....if you got the job.......you would know.......if you dont get the job, chances are you wont hear from them.........and calling up to 'check on the status of your application" or whatever is pointless

when i started working in human resources i would call people back whether you got the job or whether you didnt and people are dikkheads, instead of understanding its 1 podition and 100 people came down for interviews they want to take it personal so after a few months i realized calling the people who got the job was job more efficient

if you dont get the call.........dont think we forgot and you got the jpb but we just been too busy to call you.....no......if we havent called you, theres a reason, dont take it personal just keep trucking fam

right....because after interviewing 50 to 75 people for that 1 position 2 to 3 weeks prior you think we will remeber who you are even though we only met you once.......
