Got Fired Yesterday

I had a cool little job making 16per hour but my !! head manager [pic] fired me yesterday because i made a mistake and sent a package to the wrong address. So a nicca looking for a job mad fast. I graduated from San Diego State with a double major in Political Science and Sociology. Taught English in Spain for Two years and have like 8 years of work experience.

I am looking for a Job in the San Diego AREA any suggestions on where to start.

Some good Websites or companies that are hiring. I already know about Indeed. Craiglist monster career builder.

Any good suggestions would help. I am looking for something that pays 14 or higher

because he majored in poly sci and soc [pic] and he doesnt have a masters and a phd. certain majors you simply do not go in to unless you plan to keep going.

and to the OP, you do not have 8 years of work experience unless it is related.

Get on LinkedIn. Ask anybody that you know that is employed if their company is hiring. They can give you a referral. Apply to government jobs on USAjobs.gov. They look for a lot of Poly Sci majors. Check UPS. They have a lot of temp jobs around this time. Driver[..]istant is one.

This. Apply for 10-15 jobs a day and follow up a few days after you submit your resume. Ignore careerbuilder and monster. I always apply direct on company website. If all else fails try and see if you can go through a temp agency.

Do you speak English and Spanish or just English? If you do both, I would say you should look for a job in translating. Try the local government positions in your area or even a career center/non profit where you can help folks apply for jobs and get services. They are always looking for people that are bilingual.

not always. youll end up with a conference call between you, the employer, and a judge. had a couple friends who recently got fired. they deserved to be fired but they kinda did it prematurely and didnt follow the union contract exactly. so even though they stopped going, then got fired, they still got unemployment.
