I always thought those were bull!!. Every time I went to one back when I was like 19 and 20, you'd always have the army and police department of the job fairs trying to recruit.

I have had success at all the fairs I went to after I graduated.

At the National Space Symposium and Expo Experts career fairs, I made connections and was offered engineering positions.

Dress extremely nice and be very social. Also, let them sell you onto there companies.

I got offered a internship when I was in college at a job fair.

I never had success at a career fair. they were always a waste of time for me....i dont do career fairs anymore, so i save my gas and time..you go and its like hundreds of people, if not thousands. its more navy/army college recruiters than employers. once you get in the place, you go to a booth of a company, the recruiters tell you what they are hiring for and ask for your resume, give you a business card or some paraphernalia and send you on your way..no personal connection what so ever. if all i am going to do is pass out resumes and collect business cards, i can stay at home and send out resumes online...smh :/

I never go to the mass ones... meaning the ones in the newspapers or at hotels etc.... I always go to the specific ones. Usually in college they have fairs dedicated to certain majors and fields. Those are the ones you go too.... Those major (public) ones are a HUGE waste of time. They get 1000s of people to show up and they are hiring for like 3 positions each company.
