Windows Mobile 6.5/touch pro 2/hero

anybody know where or when the windows mobile 6.5 upgrade for the htc touch pro verizon phone is at/or out?

i cant find it for s**t.

also with the upgrade from 6.1 will the htc touch pro 2 interface look like the hero's interface with the weather displayed inbetween the time and everything?

Verizon/Microsoft hasnt officially released the 6.5 update for the tp2. i will be released some time this month according to the HTC website. sorry but i cannot answer your questions about the interface becuase i do no know for sure but i do think the interface will change some what

oh yeah people have created their own personal rom 6.5 updates for the tp2 but they arent the official verizon/microsoft software. most of the roms run pretty good but i would rather have the official ROM from verizon so thats why i havent upgraded to a custom rom yet

you can find the custom roms @ xda-developers.com in their forums or u can go to ppcgeeks.com and find it in their forums also

That s**t's up in other countries. This is in Europe, don't know if it works for American TP2's though. You can put in your serial code to download the software.

From what I am hearing the official 6.5 update won't happen until Q1 next year.. And the Hero style weather clock is 6.5.1 and I am not sure if that will be on the official update.. I had it on my TP2, it was pretty hott.. Search Energy's 6.5 Rom on ppcgeeks.. just unlock your device and flash, I think its what youre looking for

the hero's clock/weather display is just a android widget made by htc... it's not a theme or anything if thats what your thinking, it is nice tho,,, the hero makes that weather display your current locations weather based off your gps... it's nice

i got 6.5 on my touch pro 2 runs nice

its suppose to be sometime this month for verizon, i really dont care for 6.5 tho it sucks and really its not that much different from 6.1....there really isnt s**t that you're missing besides graphical differences and the new lock screen. My gf has the HTC Imagio which has 6.5 on it and the differences between that and my 6.1 HTC Touch Pro 2 are very minor....I think ill pass on 6.5.

Yea the weather background is Manila Touch Flo 3D 2.1 aka HTC sense. Nothing to do with windows. I had the euro version of 6.5 on my tp2 and it worked fine. I think it's GSM only though. There's a few other programs you can use to change the interface like Mobile Shell 3.5
