Why Get A Phone Without A Keyboard?

I never understood the reasoning behind this, whats the point of getting a phone without a keyboard when the phones with the keyboard are generally better than not having a keyboard at all.

Keyboard gives u 100% better accuracy
If your screen f**ks up u still have the keyboard to help u get thru ur menu and hard reset (winmo)
Keyboard gives u the option of using touch screen when you want, or switching to using the keyboard.

I know it really comes down to preference but it would seem the smarter choice would be just to get the keyboard.

HTC Touch Pro 1 >>>> HTC Touch, HTC Diamond
Samsung Moment >>> HTC Hero
LG Env Touch >>>> LG Versa, LG Dare
HTC Touch Pro 2 >>>> iPhone, HTC Imagio, Diamond 2, HTC Hero

I feel the same way, but ppl don't like phones with keyboards cuz it makes it "too heavy" or "too thick"... you know, b**ch reason's.

i dont know about you guys but the iphone keyboard is pretty dam accurate.
of course you make a typo here and there. but once you get used to it, you're golden.

i actually prefer a physical keyboard but the iphone has changed my mind.

Cause sometimes the KEYPAD itself is s**t. Example all the HTC's except for the touch pro 2. If you have a small touchscreen the virtual keypad is a f**king pain. The iPhone virtual keypad seem just right to me. So its a matter of personal choice and finger size.

Not a fan of touch phones in general... I wanted a keyboard as well so I got a BB. It's just a preference thing.

Blackberry by far have the best keyboard. s**t they even have the best touch a screen keyboard with the storm 2. Too bad their Os is extremely outdated and no blackberry have specs that are better than droid, Pre, 3gs, hd2.

If I didn't text or use aim I wouldn't mind a touchscreen only. Less to break or get dirty, and simpler. But when you type a lot, a hardware keyboard is a must.

Touchscreen keyboards are s**t, if the screen cracks what are you going to do?
The virtual keyboard is supposed to mimic the physical keyboard.
The better option is obvious, even if you don't use AIM or text.
