Verizon will be behind Blackberry 10

One of the big question marks surrounding BlackBerry 10 has been carrier support. It doesn't matter how good a mobile operating system is - if carriers don't want to sell it, you don't have much hope. On my recent trip to BlackBerry HQ I questioned the company's new CMO Frank Boulben on this issue, who made it clear that support from carriers around the world, including the USA, is there. Frank noted Verizon's launch of the BlackBerry Curve 9310 as a sign of ongoing support. Looking ahead to BlackBerry 10, Frank couldn't get into the specifics, but did say they are very engaged with US carriers around the launch of BlackBerry 10.

A tweet like this from @rob_scharf is further evidence that the Verizon BB10 launch wheels are in motion. For a while there I think many of us -- myself included -- we're starting to wonder if BlackBerry 10 would ever come to market. Sure, Q1 2013 is still months away, but activities like Verizon hiring people now to sell BlackBerry 10 is a positive sign that it absolutely is going to happen.

I love my blackberry. But i am in the airport typing this on my new nexus. I had to adapt.

I do switch between both devices. I'm headed to Vegas right now and I'm about to switch over to the bold 9930. It fits me better on certain trips.

I hope BB10 has something so I can go back permentaly .

As much as they have failed to keep up, the industry needs them to do decent. The fewer companies to create phones, the less creative others will be

I was unaware of the BB10 until opening this thread. I looked it up and it doesn't look bad [pic]

I really loved my Blackberry Bold when I had it. Didn't have any issues with it for almost 2 years until it started doing random memory wipes. [pic]

Even still, it was the best phone I had on T-Mobiles !!ty service. Never dropped any calls or failed to send any texts. I can't say the same for my HTC One [pic]

Verizon will definitely stand behind them due to their history.

Doesn't mean that they will favor them since sales won't surpass their Samsungs, other android phones, and Apple phones tho. Hell, forget Android & iOS... with Blackberry 10 launching well BEHIND schedule and Windows 8 phones launching AS planned for this fall beating them by several months... will BB10 be able to beat out M$ who's second effort into WinPhone looks to be aiming high? o_O
