Sprint Galaxy Nexus rumored to launch on April 22nd

Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus may launch on April 22nd according to a purported internal document obtained by The Verge. In terms of hardware, the handset is identical to the Verizon Wireless version, however Sprint customers will have access to Google Wallet. The internal document also points to Sprint’s first 4G LTE phone being the LG Viper, which will be available just ahead of the Galaxy Nexus on April 15th. The handset features a 4-inch WVGA display with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and a 5-megapixel rear camera. The Viper comes equipped with an NFC chip and will also have Google Wallet access as well. Sprint’s LTE network is expected to launch in mid-2012 in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Atlanta.

the important thing about these phones dropping is that we will finally get to see if the data plan will still be unlimited with LTE?! My guess is that they can't afford to do unlimited data with the billions they are spending on the LTE network

The formal unveiling of LG's Viper this morning may not have piqued your interest, but Sprint loyalists hellbent on maintaining access to an unlimited plan may want to take a second look. Initially pointed out by TechHog, and confirmed to us today by a Sprint spokesperson, the carrier's impending LTE data network will indeed be included on its existing Everything plans. In other words, the Viper -- as well as any other LTE smartphone, Galaxy Nexus included -- will be able to surf the LTE superhighway without limits. To date, the "unlimited" nature of Sprint's data remains a huge differentiator in a world full of hamstrung options, tiers and throttles, and it'll certainly be used to get the attention of heavy users in the months ago. We also reconfirmed that Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio are on track to receive LTE in "midyear 2012," with "other markets following in the third and fourth quarters." Huzzah!

Which they wopuld of upgraded the hardware to a quad core or something for sprint. This is the phone (because its stock android) i wanted, but no point it getting it when it will already be outdated when it comes out
