New Droid Owners?

The droid was released to day. And I am just curious to see who went out and got it? And if so, how are you liking it? Is it all that you imagined, and more?

So far the phone is a beast and it doesnt feel cheaply builr like the HTC android phones outside of the Hero.

So far the keyboard is something to get used to, but the phone is quick. I just now need to know all the must have apps. The only the only problem I have is the email capability is nowhere near the Blackberries and Window Mobile. But the phone is something i would recommend.

I like it a lot so far... I'll go more in depth in a couple days.

I got the Hero and this joint is stupid dope!....this might be the hottest phone I owned ever! Thats real talk fo sho!

The only thing this phone needs is flash

its basically what a g2 should of been..phones really nice looking..fast but is set up like the g1 which is a good thing..flash actually works as well..for apps id just get the weather widget(donate version) and then get the add on too so you have annimations for the weather like the hero..i dont have it buy my bro does..its nice

I just got mine tonight and this phone is a f**kin beast. Its web is super quick. I love the google voice search. Just say what you want and it pulls up the best matches. The keyboard is a tad bit different than my Voyager but I will soon be use to it. And if you dont know, you get a 16GB digital card for free. You have to love that. The screen is sick as hell. Its hands down the best reso i've seen on a phone. Get this now!

i dunno man. its not gonna fly this time. the hero and especially this phone are definetly giving the iphone a run for its money.

Just copped mine last night and haven't had much time to really play with it...but for what I've checked out s**t is fast...the screen is crystal clear...and it just feels right...

Only problem I had was it was the salesman's 1st week working there and I was the 1st Droid he sold...dude was clueless...I basically set the phone up and sold it to myself...

Who ever was talking about the HTC Hero is right, my homeboy got one yesterday and that screen is too clear! i think its clearer than the droids screen honestly.

i played around with the droid in the mall yesterday. its a dope phone, yall keybordin eff'n sux though seriously. i might sell my tp2 in january and get the droid, or whatever new android phone that comes out by then.

Honestly every body is clueless about the phone right now as much as they trained us, nobody pays attention. The Moto Droid is better than the Eris in my opinion and I work wit them joints. I do agree about how awkward the keyboard is but I understand that they needed the d pad after using it and it is as small as possible. From looking at the phone you can tell they tryin to please as much people as they can right now then they will prolly take the good and the bad and update it. Either way I ordered that joint for 199 (instant rebate). Low key the main thing that caught my eye was that high res screen, screen is higher res than the iphone. Only thing is that whenever VZW put iphone killer behind a phone the s**t kinda flops although not all the way (Voyager, Dare, Storm, Droid????????????)

that was one of the main features they made sure would be there. it does have a flash. only thing is, not while youre recording video. somthin my BB Storm does. so i think im keepin both

an yeah that keyboard is a lil iffy. i don even bother pullin it out, i juss use the onscreen keyboard. the buttons are larger.

so the touch screen keyboard is better than the physical one?

my friend has it its dope i played with it for a lil bit its nice he said the battery is a lil suspect tho

They can make improvements on that....plus they may have some stuff running that doesn't really need to be on that could be raping the battery
