Blog BGR claims they have obtained the first image and specifications for Research In Motion’s upcoming BlackBerry Dakota smartphone — and it’ll probably make you want to move by to BlackBerry.

This unit is sporting a touchscreen, BlackBerry OS 6.1, sports near field communication capabilities, and can even serve as a 3G mobile hotspot. Take a look at the features, as provided by BGR:

* Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
* Tri-band UMTS
* 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording, flash, and image st@bilization
* 4GB of built in storage, 768MB of RAM
* 2.8-inch VGA 640×480 capacitive screen
* WiFi b,g,n on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies
* 3G mobile hotspot!
* MicroUSB port
* Bluetooth
* NFC
* Magnetometer
* Accelerometer
* Proximity sensor
* 10.5mm thin

Yeah I kinda feel that way too but then again RIM is playing towards the business people and don't want to screw with the longevity of the people that have stayed with them and use them everyday that dont want to change.

Blackberry tryin at least, another touchscreen with a keyboard. Just give me a phone that has recent hardware w/the QNX OS and we're good.

Honestly, the qnx phones are coming, if u expect them in the next 6 months, then you might as well sit down because its not gonna. earlier is gonna be 2012.
