Who is overgeneralizing? I swear some of you niccas act like you work for Google. Every other thread someone is saying how laggy Android is while someone else is praising it. When I say I copped an Evo, now it's I copped the wrong Android phone despite their being a thread dedicated to the phone where everyone who actually had it was praising, now it's a terrible phone :kobewhatever: Ok. !!'s too much.

I tried the phone, didn't like the experience, and I'm not willing to take another chance on it. That doesn't make Android a bad OS, I just didn't care for it. Is that some kind of crime?

OP... you got a galaxy note. it's a phablet. I get that you got it to replace your phone but it also acts a tablet.

if you just want a great phone get a nexus. you get updates first and you experience the pure android os.

Come on fam, everyone that was in the Official Evo thread. The Epic wasn't out on Sprint at the time, and that was supposedly their best phone. That !! was back ordered through Sprint forever in 2010. You really gonna act like no one was copping Evos?

the evo started the big phone movement.. HTC could've been running the game, but that battery life k!lled em. Their latest EVO is on point tho

not even funny, everything is called an iphone k!ller.. u act like its the consumer that makes up the title, its the company doing it. i swear the htc hd2 ect was supposed to be iphone k!llers also.

I feel you guys, part of it maybe that i was so used to ios. I had it for four years and used nothing else. To me it's just little !! like typing. I made way less mistakes on my iPhone that I do in that phone. I miss the emoji as well and the sticky faces app. The browser was a big complaint until my man put me up on dolphin. That !! is crack. I also had all my music on iTunes and when I bought an app on my iPad it automatically synced with my phone. The ads are way more annoying with android apps than with iOS. The songza app which I love works far better on iOS than android. Less freezes and shut downs. Multitasking is better on iOS in my opinion. And wife's 4s always has a signal when my phone doesn't and I got 4g...[pic]

Also, where is the update for ICS for the galaxy note? Why do some phones have it and others dont? Why not roll it out to all phones? Apple does. I understand there are different phones but how the hell do other countries get ICS on the note before the states do? And why do I have to root it myself? [pic] android has good features but the ease of use and simplicity goes to ios. Sorry [pic]

Unfortunately nothing will make your Itunes related stuff sync with Android. If that is so important to you, you honestly should have just stayed with Apple. You can start using Google Music if you want. Handcent and GoSMS has emoji support, you can try those apps for messaging. Android is very different from IOS. Multitasking is actually Android's strong point, especially on ICS. Very easy to switch apps and end apps. Try adfree for blocking ads. I do not use many apps with ads, so it does not bother me. As for typing, you have swype, swiftkey, smartkeyboard, etc. Between all those, you should be able to find one you like. I personally use swiftkey.

Ice cream sandwich should fix majority of android problems. The lag problem is more of touch wiz which is one of the worst UI for android. The only thing worst is Moto Blur

I never mess with emojis but there is probably an app for them. As far as the browser, Chrome just released for everyone, so check that out. It blows away the old browser, and firefox just released a new one that supports flash. For itunes, I use isyncr to synce my playlists. The ads on android are annoying but that's why there are more free apps than on ios. Im not sure why you dont get a good signal tho. do you have the same carrier as your wife, cuz my samsung galaxy nexus gets great reception.

ICS started to drop on the note. Im not exactly sure what the case is for the note but I do know that carrier specific models tend to take longer tho. It has to do with the carrier selling certain phones. Basically, why would someone by a new and more expensive phone with ICS when a cheaper one has it. Eventually you will get an update but it's up to the carrier as far as when. Like other people pointed out, IF you dont feel like waiting you can root your phone and install it yourself. there are plenty of videos on youtube about it.

I highly recommend checking out ICS. It's worth the wait, and Jellybean looks great as well. Nexus devices update straight from google so there is no waiting, but getting phones with skins on them gives you the latest hardware

Touchwhiz sucks on gingerbread i don't know how much better it is on ICS.

I feel the exact opposite from the original poster i am on the iphone4s right now and i want to go back to Android.

The only true way to know whether Android is right for you is to experience it yourself. Try out one of the newer phones with ICS and see if you like them. Most people who are used to Android and have tried a newer phone with ICS are happy with it.

It is not easy making the transition from another OS if you are used to things working a certain way. I have used Android OS since the cupcake days and have grown to appreciate the vast improvements. I have used IOS devices here and there and do not care for the look and feel of the interface, especially with the current state of Android OS.

If you had a better experience on IOS, then maybe you should stick with IOS. Certain things on Android are never going to change. Android just does some things different for a reason. The only thing that sucks for people who like IOS is that you guys do not have a choice of hardware. If Apple decides not to give you LTE or bigger sized screens, you have to deal with it because IOS belongs to Apple. Android users have more flexibility as far as hardware choices. If I ever leave Android OS, it will be for Windows. At least Windows will offer different hardware configurations as soon as HTC and Samsung start making WP8 devices.
