HTC: Our kick-ass phones have Samsung “worried

We can imagine that most companies won’t have nice things to say about the competition. HTC isn’t exempted from this rule, as it lays down the smack talk on Android’s current golden boy.

Talking to reporters last week, HTC North Asia President Jack Tong said that due to the success of the company’s J Butterfly smartphone, also known as the Butterfly and the Droid DNA in different parts of the world, Samsung has been making “fewer moves” in order to see what HTC is going to offer next.

“This means HTC has the ability to make Samsung worried,” Tong continued.

We’re not sure that the[..]essment is accurate, but hey, at least HTC seems to be getting some of its lost mojo back. The J Butterfly jump started the comeback, as the 5-inch full HD phone reportedly sold more than the iPhone 5 during its debut week in Japan. The next test would be its launch in Taiwan.

Tong also said that HTC will do its best to leave the competitors in the dust by unveiling “eye-catching products” and setting “a higher standard”. Good luck with that, HTC. But for now, we think Samsung is the least of the company’s problem, as both Huawei and ZTE have surpassed HTC’s market share in Q4 2012.

thats not a kick[..] phone?
you dont have to be an htc fan. but this is a sick phone and if you didnt like sense before it doesnt look like theres much to complain about now. the battery is decent @ 2300 and everything is ridiculous.
for them to say samsung is worried is probably false. but everything about this phone is just nice.
without advertising none of them specs matter though. sure youre upping the bar with incredible specs but if nobody knows about it nobody is going to buy it.

Well that sounds nice but its 2013. If they cant find a way to atleast put in a 3000mAh battery then what good does it do you. Werent people complaining about HTC and their !!ty battery life.

i have an evo lte and i dont complain at all. do you really need more than 3-4 hours of screen on time? my phone can stay unplugged for more than 2 days and i easily get more than 3 hours of actual use. 3 hours... i mean come on. if you have to complain that your phone does not get 6+ hours of actual use then you are the one that has the problem, not the phone. try putting your phone down and go breathe some air outside. and when are you not somewhere that you can plug your phone in? if youre not at home, youre at work. if youre not at work, then youre going somewhere in your car. youre not supposed to let a li-on battery completely die all the time anyway, it k!lls the batteries lifespan. sick of seeing all the tired-ass battery complaints. thats a terrible complaint. its not like youre getting 10 minutes of use. youre going to get more than 4 hours of use out of this phone each time you use it. thats plenty. people talk about the incredible life they get with their s3's but that has a 2100mAh....

google "galaxy s3 terrible battery life" "iphone terrible battery life" "htc terrible battery life" "lg terrible battery life" everyone complains about their battery life.

yes the batt is decent, but thats for a phone that doesnt have a 1080p resolution. !! is horrible, and considering htc batt problems in the past, this could be a disaster. and you really saying who needs more than 3-4 hours of screen time??? !!ing everybody. use the phone

Sure it doesn't have 1080P, but lolololol This phone only has 2300 mah.

2300 mah with 1080P.
3100 mah with 720P.
And if the Note 2 had 1080P with that 3100 it would still be good.

That m7 may have some nice specs but we know samsung will match it and do it twice as better if not more .
