This Is How the iPhone 5 Might Look in Your Hand |
| | ||||

![]() We have published mockups of Apple's next iPhone—before. But these are the definitive ones, showing what the iPhone 5 or whatever it is called would look like in your hand. And, as it turns out, it looks pretty damn good. My favorite is now the black one. I can't really decide. In black, the new iPhone 2012 is very 1980s, as opposed to the 70s flavor of the current iPhone 4/4S. The two-tone black anodized aluminum is reminiscent of the old AV Sony designs of that decade-like their first CD player. The white model is not 80s, though. But it is prettier than the black. The aluminum and chrome unibody with the white accents have an oldschool sci-fi feel. Like an object out of Kubrick's 2001. Somewhere in Cupertino there's a HAL computer powered by an array of these things. ![]() ![]() ![]() Source-More Pics ![]() ![]() |

| I didn't pull the trigger on the SIII because I have so much invested in my iPhone from past apps and everything. As great as a device it is, I think my needs for customization, flash, better web browsing and freedom would be better suited for a Tablet like the Nexus 7 I just ordered. I like the iPhone because my entire family has iPhones, my girl has an iPhone and the Facetime integration into the phone just works better than getting logged into Skype or using Tango. That being said, September really is do or die as far as I'm concerned with Apple. If that phone isn't a Quad Core iPhone with...SOMETHING coming to the table feature wise then I'll probably cop that Note 2. It's terrifying to wait months and months for that upgrade and for it to come and then waste it on a phone you hate would be the worst. Hopefully Apple shows up or else I'm out. I fight the urge to go in and buy that SIII every, single, day. | |
