there are apps that back up your apps and or app data to the cloud like titianium back up or box

Strongly urge you not to do that. Get titanium, back your apps up, and install this from a clean wipe of both data and cache. System and dalvik cache are optional if you're feeling a little dirty.

Since it was just released and im[..]uming you already have ICS and the gnex id say at the minimum 2-3 months

Yes, the Galaxy Nexus supports T-Mobile's HSPA+ band. Looks like Android has fixed everything that people have complained about. The only thing you can really have against Android now is that you do not like the way it looks. The functionality is top notch.
