Is this the GOAT budget phone?

Been using my busted up !!ing HTC HD2 as my wifi phone for awhile, haven't been on a plan in awhile and I've adapted to using WIFI to make phone calls, text and whatnot for awhile now and I like it. I loved my HD2 but the digitizer is starting to go out, I've been dealing with it for a little while now but when I'm at the gym the digitizer will go out when I'm trying to change songs or text I'm not into expensive[..] phones, I have my Nexus 7 if I want to browse and read and !!. I need a new phone, preferably one that is going to be fast for daily activities and I think I found the best phone for these needs at an affordable price

There's a few roms that will over clock it to 1.5ghz which is pretty impressive for this little[..] phone. It's only $130 new but you can get it for around $100 on Amazon/Ebay OR if you're in a MetroPCS area (I'm not) you can get it for $50 after the mail-in rebate if you order from Metropcs' website. Befor I go out and buy this does anyone have any suggestions for a phone under $150? I learned my lesson about buying OLDER phones, the digitizer is likely to !! up so I'm uneasy about buying something that was hot in 2011.

get a galaxy nexus. u can get one for around $150-200 on ebay. or save up and by something nicer

Thanks alot. That's a real solid choice, lots of support and I can get a Powerskin case for it for $10. Speed wise it's about the same, a bigger screen but the ability to have a powerskin and the ROM support is worth the extra $50 to me [pic]

to be honest i wouldnt even look at the phone you first posted. the g nex spec wise still goes strong even though its not top tier. it is still up there though for a phone that has been out for a while. plus it is lte compatible. and it would be more up to date than most phones because it is a google phone

hey, if i cop this phone can i throw it on Sprint's network instead of MetroPCS? Props in advance, i have no idea how budget carriers work

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible to flash a LG Motion 4G to Sprint. However, MetroPCS is merging with Tmobile so you will beable to use this phone in the future on TMobile. There may be an equivilent phone for Sprint, for example, on Cricket they have a LG Optimus Regard which is LITERALLY THE SAME PHONE AS THE LG MOTION 4G EXCEPT NAMED DIFFERENTLY and compatible with Cricket.

And if I'm not mistaken, you can flash a cricket phone to Sprint and vice versa.

you can get a verizon iphone 4 / 4S on craiglist with bad esn for under 200 and the flash to pageplus if anybody has it in there area

tmobile will not work with metropcs. gsm and cdma two completely different technologies. and the merger still hasn't been approved, and looks to be falling apart.

It still amazes me how cheap this dude is, but still spends hundreds of dollars on !!ty headphones.

Right now the LG Optimus L9 is $199 new on T-Mobile prepaid with a $50 card of free service you can keep or sell...pretty good deal for the phone spec wise
