Can sprint go on the Iphone???

T-Mobile and AT&T are currently the only two major carriers that are GSM...so an unlocked iPhone will work on T-Mobile...Thats what I got and iPhone running 1.1.4 on T-Mobile

So where can I find info on that ^^^ cause I'm on Tmobile and am bout to get an Ipod touch! If I was to get the Iphone, would I have to set up a contract w/ ATT first or can get one off the net unlocked for cheap! Talk to me!

Just to share some info.

In the US, AT&T offers the iPhone.

In Germany and Austria, it's offered by T-Mobile.

Just saying. If anyone is taking a trip out there, it might be a nice idea. Maybe easier than getting it domestically.

no cdma means no sim card.. gsm

it can be unlocked and put on any service with sim cards. tmobile, at&t

no we wont.
verizon turned it down, a year or two before the iphone was even press released.
and AT&T has the exclusive contract with them so you wont see an iphone on verizon, t-mobile(unless its unlocked), or sprint, or any other carrier you can think of.

but thats a good catch for the companys that support gsm .. makes them look like superheros ... unfortunatly , they are not ... and the technology is almost the same anyways ...

the subscribers get d*cked huge though , thats the only difference ..

Verizon is going to have the iPhone at the end of 2009....but by then it will be old news

Do you know why Verizon turned it down? Because Apple wanted the exclusive contract, and it's own price plan, and just completely be seperate from anything in the Verizon Wireless network, and they said thanks but no thanks. Verizon was actually offered the iPhone first.....I was at the press release when they proposed it to us.
