| I don't like this, but I doubt it really affects them negatively. See this post from Felix Salmon: . It references of Apple's stock price. In short, Mac isn't even a big part of their value anymore, at least according to Trefis. | |

| As the goat steve jobs said, if people buy the product and are satisfied, thats all that matters to them. They will continue the technology as if it wasn't the problem. If they DONT like the product, apple will rid of it. Just like the 17 inch macbook pro.... it was clunky as hell and only abouy 1 percent of MAC sales. So they eliminated it. | |

| They looked nice at the Northpark mall in Dallas but to be honest the seemed like a 1 extra G Macbook Air with a nicer screen and an HDMI port? [pic] I don't know what my next notebook should be especially since my last Macbook pre Unibody broke down alot. | |

| ^ Way to try and justify the highway robbery that is Macbook Pro. You're right, I don't own one, but who's to say we're not all potential buyers some day? Especially if Apple's stronghold on the market continues. I've fixed plenty of Apple products (which is what this thread is about, BTW) and I have to admit this is disheartening news for the fix it commununity. I wish the dumbasses who feed Apple their hard earned money every year knew about stuff like this. Have fun paying for replacement and protection plans at a overpriced premium. | |

| Also, keep in mind that this not only affects those who want to aftermarket upgrade, but simply replace defective parts as well. | |

| Who cares about hackintosh.... too many limitations on osx, rather stick with win7 The only good reason to buy a apple product is the design /build quality of the hardware. Last edited by tonik; 06-24-2012 at 05:01 AM.. | |
