Apple Mini Dock Connector Reportedly Makes An Appearance On Online Store [VIDEO]

Blogger A White Dot posted a video showing off how he supposedly found a leaked mini-dock to dock connector adaptor in the Apple Store. It shows him navigating to this page, but it currently displays a 404 error.

This video looks very convincing; it’s incredibly realistic looking. It is possible that it is real. However, it is quite easy to mock up a video to look realistic. Some clever tinkering with the hosts file and some rudimentary web and graphic design skills could make this possible without spending a second doctoring the video. This is in no way proof that a redesigned dock connector is in existence, but it is interesting to look at.

The video shows the adaptor, available in black and white, with a male mini dock connector and a female traditional dock connector outlet. Whether or not this video is real, let’s hope that Apple will actually sell such an item if/when they replace the dock connector. The vast amount of dock connector exclusive accessories must number in the tens of thousands. It’d be nice to have a transitional period where the old accessories continued to work while the new stuff is being made and sold.
