Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010)

I went to a sneak preview tonight. I thought it was aight, the 3D was eh, but I did like the game references throughout the movie. Watch the credits as well. All and all I think it's a movie for fans of the other movies, if you hated the movies before this will not change anything for you. If you liked them, you won't be disappointed. Oh yeah Wesker !!ing blows. They didn't explain anything about him at all, you would have basically had to play Code Veronica to even know what the deal with his powers were. Everyone is just going to think he's a Matrix ripoff and it only gets worse when he starts talking. Worst. Acting. Ever.

I still don't get why they won't make a movie more like the game. Preferably RE2.

Because people will cry about how it doesn't follow that particular game exactly. I like how it's based off the series, but it has it's own storyline.

its a decent series but the game !! on movie every time but a 3d resi movie def gotta watch just to see for my self

The 3D in Afterlife is leagues better than any other 3D film except Avatar. It pays to shoot in 3D and not convert.

I saw it Friday. I never seen any other RE movie. My friend paid so I went. I liked it. Nice fight scenes. Can someone explain about the big azz zombie with the cloth over his head. I saw him dragging the axe and thought DAMN!

The Executioner is from Resident Evil 5 the game


A Majini seen carrying an enormous axe. The Executioner is a very large and disturbing foe wearing a blood-soaked black cloth over his head that conceals his face, and a large black apron, tattered and soaked in blood. He also has dozens of nails potruding from every few square inches of his exposed skin, including two very large hooks impaled into his back; if this was the case with a normal human being, they would be dead or in excruciating pain. His most notable feature, however, is his weapon of choice: a very large and heavy axe with what appears to be an oversized hammer opposite to the blade. Despite his power, the Executioner's role in the storyline is minimal, serving as the literal executioner in the [rip] of Reynard Fisher. After some time has passed in the following swarm of Majini, the Executioner will enter the fray and try to k!ll Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar. If the player does not k!ll him, he will disappear with all the other remaining Majini when Kirk arrives to blow open the gate.

Honestly I was very unimpressed. I don't play the RE games and don't give a !! about them but I have generally liked the movies to a degree. However it seems each movie is worse than the last. It just seems that they leave a lot of information they should be telling the veiwer on the cutting room floor. I'm probably mostly disappointed that they stripped Alice of all her cool powers. I kind of dug Alice the superhuman. But having said all that if they make another one ill still check it out.

I like the last one before this. But this one is not bad. I'm into zombie movies. I guess I like it for that.

1,2 & 3 were sick! THIS ONE WAS FUKIN TERRIBLE!
