Worst and Best Car Audio Brands?

wat about premier which is made by pioneer cause those are the best speakers i've heard

Ghost....i got a question.

I got a 12" eclipse titanium sub in a vented 2.5 cubic feet box...ive always heard theyre the top of the line and theyre one of the loudest subs but my cousin that thinks he knows everything says theres "so many subs" louder because the eclipse only takes 750 watts (im givin it 1000 watts). what subs do you know would hit harder in that same enclusure.

watts don't always matter. there are plenty subs louder, but that sub is a nice sounding sub, . i'd say stick with the eclipse. i can't give you any suggestions offhand for other subs for that size box, especially when i don't know what it's tuned at

wait.. hold on... how r u gonna say "Kicker "Comp/Comp VR" (SW) "RS Series and under" (Sp)" the VR series is entry line,,,, now look at it ... the cvr w.e series im bout to get has dual voice coil it maxes out at 800 watts but it puts out better sound then 2 mtx subs that we listened to at the circuitcity,, now u must be smokin somethin, lol

all different series bro....some piece of !! mtx series may cost you 50 bucks a piece of 400 output watts....mine 850 bucks a piece putting out 1800 each...sounds serious MTX RFL (SW)...do some research on the series.

so yeah black friday is this month and since i be standin in line anyways with some friends i was thinking to get some subs for my car and i was wondering what you guys think is better or prefer. eclipse or alpine. i know best buy have alpine type Rs thanks for any help.

Since there are so many different car audio brands out there i wanna put together a list of brands for car audio newbs. The brands will be ranked in different sections:



Horrible brands - avoid these brands at all cost, there a total waste of money.


Entry level brands - good for the first time car audio enthusistest, you get a great sound for a cheap price.


High quality brands - these are more expensive that entry level, but not rediculously expensive, since you get execellent sound that will be louder/cleaner that entry level brands.


Competition brands - these brands are the mother of all brands, prices are very expensive but if you can afford it these are the brands that win sound competitions at car shows.

Now hold it. I have 3 type r ALPINE 12's and they are great. If u don't like ALPINE or JL audio W series what do u like???
