Worst and Best Car Audio Brands?

you all forgot the best competition sub which costs a mere 6000 dollars, the MTX Jackhammer 22" is the BEAST.

yo i have 2 square audiopipe 15 sw they str8 but i blew them...i had a 2 ohm 2000 watt 4 channel audio pipe amp pushin them...dont get me wrong they bumped then i got them bridged down thats when they blew..but you get what you pay for..the whole set up only cost me 400...im lookin to get a new system for my mitsubishi endeavor 05..i want to drop at least 600-1000 on it cuz...someone give me some ideas or if you know something for the low holla at yo boi

Yo jus so u know some of those name brands that u said we should stay away from surprise u...I had a set of pyramid subs dat i got for free from a friend and wit the right amp n power my system was knockin as loud as his brothers rockford he2's so be careful wit em.... sometimes u gotta hear em to believe it i know i sell car audio

jackhammer is azz.. sorry too say. all the size and only 157 db the single w7 from jl can push out 170 at minimum power. dats really sad.. If u lookin for a nice soundin system check out the Alpine R series or their big guy now the alpine TYPE X. Now dats power i seen it shatter car windows so trust me.

False.....single W7 is not coming anywhere near a 170....dont believe the hype...even in an Extreme type set up, the cone would fold before it reached those type of levels. Not bashing JL, just stating facts.

mistamagic 1st off pyramid SUCKS, there is no way they will last or sound good. they might be loud but they will fry and sound like !!. they are made very poorly, very bottom of the line
2nd, a single w7 will never come even close to 170db, i know i have 10w7 and there's no way i'm hittin close to that. even a single 13w7 wont come close to that. before you speak do some research. even 4 15w3's were only hitting about 150 something there is no POSSIBLY way a single w7 will hti what you claim

^ nothing you've said in this section is true, wherever your getting your info is a bull!! place. you learn from trial and error and experience, you claim to have 3 yrs of experience, i have about 9yrs and drug dylan competes, you'll never see anyone competing with pyramid, if they are they wont place anywhere close to top 10. get your !! straight before you come in here telling us total bull!!. i still wont forget the 274 db story, thats classic, !!ing halarious that anyone would beleive that !!

No one is bashing anything, we are just disproving your stories, I guess if you feel the need to exagerate so be it...just make it a lil more believeable. As Ghost said, I compete and have been competing since 95' so if someone hit 170+ with a single JL W7 i'd know about it. Also the BS with the shattering windows, with Alpines, in a trunk....BE FOR REAL....it takes a lot more than your everyday setup to start breaking windows.

So before you got talkin about people with sticks up their[..]es know who you are in the company of and keep the BS to a minimum, cuz I WILL call you on it.

i do apolagize for being so harsh but you have to understand how many !!heads come in here thinking they know everything about car audio and they start saying !! like " pyramid rocks thats competition equipment" right off the bat when the experienced people in this forum here these new people say some !! like that we call them out and prove them wrong. but anyways, thanks for the complement on my ride, i just decided about 20 min ago i'm upgrading to another jl 10w7, another 500/1 and a new custom slot proted box, so i'll be hitting even harder withing abotu 2 months or so. also sounds like you got a fairly nice ride, but whatcha got up front?

infinity gold audio is pretty sick.. specially when its just stock in a car.. they got some good setuplines and produce some pretty craze products(meanin they got the good for being stock... but upgrades are good too)

i believe nate munsen broke 170 with a single 10 by DD and 4 viper 2500d amps. pretty impressive.

169 and some change....but he was pretty close. Also "Extreme" car setups and daily drivers are two totally different animals.

^ yeh of course they are. i think i read that he broke the 170 mark eventually (could be wrong just what i read on a few CA forums what a few years ago..?).

Oh yea...he was 170+ just not with the mentioned setup....(174.8 was his high at 03' DB Drag Finals...did it with a Kicker SoloX 18) I dont think he has competed since then.
