I have been driving my 2006 Honda accord SE for 3 months and my AC is blowing cold air one day, then blowing hot air the next day. I do not know wtf is going on. Any suggestion on what the problem is? I'm in Houston and it is hot as f**k.

Maybe you're running out of freon?

Might need to be recharged. I know my car started to blow out warm air when the A/C was on and it just needed to be recharged.

Well when you turn the a/c on does your a/c compressor clutch kick in when you press the a/c button? You might want to take it to a shop and have them check the pressure on the on the high and low side of the connectors see if you need to recharge or not. Most likely you will but this is the easiest and safest bet to go with. You don't want to start replacing parts that other people say take it to a shop where they can hook a machine up something like this

It recharges/recycles and recovers r134a refrigerant. Situations like this is very common when you don't use a/c during the winter time. Half the s**t just sits in there and basically turns into vapor.

I think I'm having the same problem. When I use the ac then turn it off cold air still blows out. In the winter whenever I used my heater then turned it off hot air would blow out. I also stay in houston and yes it's hot as f**k

I dont feel like typing it all but the answer is here

Freon is real bad for the environment and thus banned. They use things similiar to it not that they claim is good for the environment

back in old days they used r12 now they changed the specs to r134a for the latest models and ever old models with retrofittings. They just got ride of r12 refrigerant because it was bad for environment. But yea the thread starter needs to take it to a shop to recover and recharge.

yea you may be low on freon also check you evaporator may be dirty or clogged and may cause these issues its the usually located in in the front or behind the radiator looks somewhat similar just smaller and thinner. just in case u didnt no, if the fins are filled with dirt air cannot pass thru therefore the freon will not cool down enough to provide cold air
