help building my system budget $1000

i have a chevy colorado crew cab (4 drs)..i bought i got the pioneer deh-p580mp head unit...got stock speakers....right now i wanna get subs and a amp but i dont know wut kind should i get...and i need a box to put under my back seats...then maybe later imma get new speakers but right now i want a sub any suggestion???

if you have $1000 to put down on sub/s, amp/s and box you should be able to pick up some farily descent !!. when kind of sound are you looking for, SQ, SQL, SPL?

If you want to impress !!es, get a In-Dash DVD Player, it would cost half your budget, but since I got it, everyone loves that !!.

In my opinion you shouldn't add subs with stock speakers. It won't blend in right and it'll most likely sound like[..]. I always suggest focusing on the interior speakers more. That's where all your sound will be coming from, not the subs. $1000 could get you some nice stuff if you shop around online. That can get you everything and that headunit you got is a good start.

Just my opinion.

when i was installing systems at best buy people wanted subs/amp on stock speakers and at the end i turned that !! up and it sounded like crap then i told them, i told you so, you should have dont with speakers first [pic]

you can always find a friend at best buy [pic] and give !! half off

i'd look into alpine type r's for subs, cheap and have a pretty descent sound
diamond audio, alpine type x's, mb quarts, boston and a few other for interior speakers
alpine, kenwood, clarion and pioneer premeire for deck,
as far as amps go i'd figure out the other things 1st and then see what kind of budget you have leftover

well i went to the shop...and they checked my car out and said thiers no room to put any subs or box..the only thing i could go wit is a bazzoka...how is those??? BT series?

And this is why I hate a lot of car audio shops. You can fit a box inside your truck.

really?? can the subs fit looks like itll barley fit...the spacing under my rear seats is like the distance from an adults hand (from the tip of the thumb across to the pinky tip) thats like whut 3 - 3 1/2 inches

go to a real shop, !! best buy and other stores like that. they have no clue whats going on. the just want to sell you something easy for them. but they suck

Some Mobile Audio shops are just as bad as Best Buy and Circuit City. I'd suggest looking around at all your audio shops and ask them. You'll find a few good people who know their stuff.
