how you like the MGW shifter?

i have a TKO gearbox in my GT and was thinkin about goin MGW at some point. did u keep the stock shift boot with it? i like the idea of leaving it nak3d and using some kinda shorty / low pro shift boot to show it off.

Had to list the other mods too just incase someone wanted to get slick and be like "well that adds 150hp and if you add that to the stock hp and minus drivetrain loss you're less than the ZL1" [pic]



Used the stock shift boot and have a different knob. Can't tell it's a different shifter at all until you try it. I love this shifter. Unlike a lot of other shorties the MGW replaces the whole unit and not just the stick like a lot of these other shorties I see.

The 33% throw reduction is another reason why I got it. The only other option was the Hurst @ 28% but that !! would like $200 more. Shifting will take a few tries to get use to but let me tell you it definitely helps with shifting. Love the fact that it has the return spring in it meaning it'll center itself to help with 2-3 and 5-4 or 5-3 shifts.
