Ferarri 458 Driver Moves While Officer Is Writing A Ticket Officer Gets Foot Ran Over. Who Is Wrong? |

| Video description and story. I was walking around Soho, NYC today when I stumbled upon this Ferrari 458 Spider with a cop writing a ticket next to it. I started to record the situation because I thought it'd make a cool video, little did I know what I was in for. As soon as I started recording the owner of the car appeared and got in it. He slowly started moving since he refused to accept the ticket (the car was parked in a hotels valet zone and the hotel valet had the keys, I myself don't understand why the cop was giving him the ticket, it was approved by the hotel that the car was parked there.) The cop then told him to stop but he proceeded to move forward. Now at this point I believe the cops foot was under the front drivers side tire. Yet again the owner moved the car forward and apparently he somewhat ran over the cops foot (or at least that's what can be made out from everything in the video, others at the scene claimed otherwise.) This triggered the cop and he slammed his hand into the drivers window and proceed to open the door (notice how many times he bumped it into the taxi cab) and pull the driver out forcefully. The driver was then thrown on the ground and handcuffed and arrested. The owners girlfriend seen in the video is also Stephanie Pratt from the MTV hit show, The Hills. The car did suffer some damage, paint chips on the door from when the cop slammed it into the cab and some scuffs by the engine bay shown in the last scene of this video. Pretty crazy situation, I was definitely at the right place at the right time!
Both the driver and officer are fuking egomaniacs. But the officer im my opinion is an instigator. And he may have gotten what he was looking for if you ask me. The officer did not speak to the driver, he stood there and continue to write the ticket while standing in front of his way. The driver even said what sounded like "hey hows it going... im[..]uming he said something like "ima move it etc..." The officer KNEW he was going to move his car, and the officer KNOWS legally the driver is not under arrest and he is free to leave at anytime. But HE CHOSE TO STAND IN THE DRIVERS WAY. After when the driver began moving his car, the officer didnt move, he stood there as if *haha what are you gonna do hit me*... And thats exactly what the driver did, he gave the officer what he deserved. Its common sense, your mom told you as a kid not to stand in front of cars... Now he learned why. Being an NYPD officer does not make u bullet proof, or untouchable. Standing in front of someones car when they are trying to move is harassment. Then the officer pulling him out of the car, throwing him, and slamming his car door into the cab multiple times was a bit over the top, especially when you inject yourself into a harmful situation and get mad when it happens to you. Straight up 100%. I wouldnt be shocked if the !! head's lawyer makes the department pay for damages. If he had broken that window.... ![]() 458 driver probably got long bread, and a great lawyer who loves cases like this, so he can chew up officers, and make them look bad in front of their colleagues. Officer could have let the driver go, and at the end of the day submit the ticket to have it sent to the drivers residence. ![]() Driver was dumb, cop was immature and on a power trip. 19sec officer takes 2 big steps and purposely puts his foot in front of the wheel. At the end of the day, the driver was parked legally. Discuss

| the cop should have MOVED imo, it looked like he actually moved closer to the tyre imo the driver, should have been more careful too, but one would expect the cop to be AWARE of the wheel tho oh well | |

Cop used his foot as a barrier, and taunted the driver to run over it. As a way of extending his authority. According to the video poster discription who was there. It appears car was being picked up from hotel valet. And in nyc the hotel legally owns that spot for parking hotel residents cars. VIP treatment, i see it in NYC, they legally buy a portion of the street for these customers. Cop will be sued for damages, and because of this video any case he might try to muster up for[..]ault will be thrown out. Video was a life saver if you ask me, the driver bit the bullet. Judging by the officers fake limping, after he PUT his foot in position to be harmed... Dude would have lied his black[..] to the bank. [pic] Btw dude who ran over the foot girlfriend is famous i didnt know that... The chick that drives off is stephanie pratt... [pic] [pic] Famous girlfriend, good lawyer + caught everything on camera... Damn RIP to that officers credibility. I bet he was in the station cooking up all sorts of stories to tell in court, and to get some paper. Dented and scratched the fuk out of the whip too... Boyfriend finnaaaa geeeet paaaaidddd. niccas in the video thumbs down my comment after everyone thumbs it up... Must be a lot of pigs on youtube. Thank you finally someone who knows the law. Officers are not trained to use such poor judgement. The whole thing was really unprofessional, and immature. 0:19 ima put my foot in the way so he cant legally drive away. RESPECT MY FOOTS ATHORITAH. Then when the driver runs over it he starts to go ape !! lol. C'mon people how can you side with anyone in the video. Both of them went full retard. Who would put there foot under a moving car on purpose? Last edited by Andrefrbk; 08-05-2012 at 01:22 AM.. | ||

| You don't just drive away from a cop, even if you know you are right. Do the smart thing and fight it in court. He could have had the hotel valet service vouch for him that he was allowed to park there. You're a !!ing retard if you're gonna risk getting arrested over a matter of principal. Oh and !! the cop, too. | |

| Both of them are idiots. But I actually feel like the dude driving is more at fault here. Who tries to just drive off while a cop is standing in front of your car? WTF did he think was going to happen? The cop was just gonna get run over and be like "oh well"? Cop used bad judgment too tho, but the driver seems more in the wrong. | |

| permit or no permit to park, this idiot deserves to be arrested. he clearly saw the cop in front. he clearly saw him writing the ticket...so common sense should tell u dont make a bad situation worse - wait, accept the ticket. argue it when its written and given. if nothing take it to court if you feel your right. the moron clearly attempted to go while the ticket is being written. he deserves it, !! him. | |

| Yeah..... The dude with the Ferrari was in the right, but handled the situation wrong and made a bad situation worse. He got arrested, his car got damaged, and now he's going to have to pay a lawyer to both defend him in court and sue the NYPD. All he had to do was WAIT, LET THE JEALOUS SCUM-BAG HATER COP finish writing him a ticket and then appeal it with the youtube video in court. For another 5 minutes, he could have handled this situation differently and then went up in the hotel and got some !! like he was planning on anyway. I've learned that most cops have a low IQ and hate their job, so they take it out on the public, especially if you have something that they can't afford (better looking woman, car, home). Be patient and deal with the BS later. Dude with the Ferrari learned a lesson. Even though you may be in the right, take the L and deal with it later. !!in scumbag cop !!ed up his day and his !! for a couple hours. This is why I loathe the NYPD. | |

| i agree nyc cops are definitely jealous. i got pulled over in harlem on my way home in stop and go traffic while coming home from work and all the cop was picking on me about was my phone(droid x when it first came out, he called it by name and everything like oh nice droid x in a condensending way) and my car at the time an 07ss. basically after that he let me go and was trying to be nice to me bc i had the car and phone he always wanted. im not[..]uming this i know bc he told me before he let me go. plus i was younger than him so it made him pissed i told him he picked the wrong profession. !!in weirdo man | |

| Driver is wrong. Just because a hotel puts cones in a area and says it's ok to park there doesn't mean it's a legal space. If a cop is writing you a ticket accept it, and if you're in a legal space record it at that point in time while the officer is writing you a ticket showing that where you parked is legal and you are being given a unlawful ticket. You don't hop in your car and try to drive off while an officer is trying to give you a ticket. The cop was dumb in the fact he thought his leg would stop the car but you don't expect people to try and drive off while writing a ticket. Ultimately they're both at fault by making bad choices on how to handle the situation, but the driver is lucky he was only pulled out the car and pushed down. Since the cop could have drawn his weapon and fired by saying he thought his life was in danger thinking the driver was trying to run him over. The cop will have 2 weeks on desk duty and the driver won't be reimbursed for the damages to the car nor will he have a lawsuit since he was being given a ticket and decided it was ok to drive away from the officer.[pic] | |
