| Expect to spend a few more hundred, especially if you are installing them yourself. | |

| Well, you'd want to get a second battery but you'll also want a new alternator. Should've looked into this a bit before you made a purchase like this. You're going to put out all that money on the subs and amps and not be able to run them properly, or with your car running properly. | |

| why doesnt anybody understand that just because an amp says X amount of watts you are not going to see that many watts in a car..Just bc someone is putting a 1200.1 to a L7 does not mean he is seeing 1200 watts nor does it mean hes going to blow his sub..hell if you want you can throw 5000 watts to a 500 watt sub and if you know what your doing...you will be fine.. | |

| you WILL need an extra battery, try hop on ebay and buy a kenetik HC 2400. that will definately help. what kind of vehicle is this all going in. if it's jsut a smaller car i'd bet money your alt isn't pushing anymore than about 80amps MAX. if so then you shoudl upgrade your alt. if you get a good one it'll run you anywhere between $400-$900 for a GOOD high output alt one GhosT | |

| i hardly see it as wasted equipment...buy the extra if you have AND want to buy it and then it leaves you headroom for upgrades instead of buying too little...wanting more then spending double what you would have paid in the first place... anyways i wasnt talking about wiring it to higher ohms..i was talking about real world situations where in a car you will never see the exact watts your birthsheet or box says...those are usually on a perfect 14.4 volts not to mention independance rise and !! | |

| That Somewhat Makes Sense But Again Ur Talkin About 4 Amps, All Double The Neccessary Power Which Is More Than Double The Price Of The Amp That Could Be Used. For That Much Money Im Sure U Would Also Be Running Better Subs Than L5' S. If I Had The Loot I Wouldnt Put 4 $400 Amps (ebay Prices) On 4 $175-$200 Subs. I Think We Can Agree On That. Upgrade Or Not. If U Think The Bigger Better Amp Is The Way To Go So As Not To Waste Money Then U Have To Consider Those Subs A Waste By The Same Standard. I Wouldnt Buy Davin Spinners & Put Them On A Kia Sportage & Say I Got The Better Wheels So Down The Road I Can Put Them On A Range Rover. Just My 2 Db | |

| My boy's cousin does all his installs and he has been doing the !! for years. He knows what he's doing. He has won many competitions. You would all think differently if you heard my freind's blazer. He has won 2 of 2 competitions he's already been in this month. I didn't feel the need to talk about his electrical upgrades because it's kind of a given if your doing a 2000 dollar install. He got the high output alt and optima batteries. He gets all his !! real cheap so he didn't spend that much. He has all 2 sets of mb quart compenents with orion amps on each of those. | |

| see it is a waste of equipment. 1st of all the amps are way to much for those subs 2nd he could have got the same amount of power out of 2 amp instead of 4 3rd because he's running 4 smaller amps he's drawing more current than 2 bigger amps see the 4 1200.1's on 4 l5's is just a waste. even if he wanted the extra power he should have done 2 bigger amps and run less current. one GhosT | |

| i wouldn't think any differently if i heard it. he's not very smart setting !! up. he's wasting valuable power by both using l5's and by runing 4 amps to the subs and 2 amps the comps. thats retarted when he could have got better amps to power them and only have to run maybe 3 amps. he'd be drawing less current if he was smarter. it doesn't sound like your boys cousin really knows what he's doing, well actually it doesn't sound like either one knows what they are doing one GhosT | |
