2013 Hennessey Venom GT (1500 bhp)

For 2013 Hennessey will be offering an updated version of the Venom GT with 1500 bhp from a 7.0 liter (427) V8.

Updates to the body include increased headroom with a double bubble roof, new front headlights and a slightly revised front fascia.

The new car will have an optional 7-speed paddle-shift transmission.

More information will be available next year regarding price, name and specific power numbers.

added a youtube of it, and it does not look like a Lotus in real life. these press release cgi pictures do however make it look more Elise like.

You do realize that it is an extended lotus chasis right? They increased length and width on a lotus chasis to support the power upgrade.

not exactly tho.

1 big difference besides the V8 is they make it a mid engine. while they use a lotus exige as the base car/chasis, they keep the roof, doors, windows/glass, but then use carbon fiber composite for the rest of the body.

hennessy also has no affiliation with lotus nor does the venom gt.

so its more like a homage style body if anything

The Lotus Exige is also mid-engined...

Hennessey stretched the chassis and re-inforced the structure to cope with the additional power.
