| Menace is the better movie, but boyz may have the better ending. It's close, but cubes speech on the end about turning on the tv was some real !!. R.i.p. doughboy | |

| menace is the best gangster movie ever..i can factually say..there will NEVER be a better gangster movie haha..EVER buttttt...boyz n the hood ending might of had a little more impact you know? and that takes nothing away from menace ending..but with ricky getting shot..and ice cube rollin up on them standing over the bloodz..and the next day the talk he has with cuba..and the slow music as he fades away saying he has been murked i gotta give it to boyz n the hood..ending wise.. | |

| Agreed that Menace is better, although Furious Styles as a character almost gives Boyz the edge. Just speaking endings though, I think Boyz is more powerful, especially with the few scenes that follow Ricky's [rip]. Also the fact that O-Dog lives always made me [pic] | |

| Both movies were good, but Boyz had a more deeper ending to me. The thing that got me was that Ricky had just got his S.A.T scores in the mail and his mom was reading them as he was dying/dead, and they were high enough to get him to go play ball in college. He almost had a chance of making it out the hood [pic] | |

| Ricky aint deserve none of that at all....but Caine finally realizing he needed a change and getting blasted was hard to watch. Him falling over the lil boy tryna protect him made the scene even more powerful. I loved the "I came too far to turned around/ go foward" line. Perfectly tied the film together. Doughboy just disappearing was kinda anticlimatic but still a classic movie none the less. | |

[pic] well said both endings were pretty powerful but it definitely hurt me to see Caine go more than Ricky. | ||

Out of the two in question I'd say Ricky getting blasted. The way he got was pretty graphic at the time for me so seeing that !! !!ed with me. I think it was the fact that I felt like damn you ain't even got to do !! to get took the !! out. Then they !! around at the end and say 3 weeks later Doe Boy got k!lled. | Dare I say higher learnings ending is better than both of these? I think it just might be. Not a gangster movie but it still relates. | |
