| By Stayburnin - 12-19-2012, 10:08 AM - Boxden > The TV and Movie Spot I have been watching shows on Netflix and realized there are some shows that were cancelled too soon. The first show that comes to mind is Arrested Development. This show only got 3 seasons. It might be the most popular comedy on Netflix. It is personally my favorite comedy. It has a great cast and that great dry humor and even the storyline is well done. If you look at any ratings or reviews, Arrested Development has always had some of the best reviews. It has a huge following on Netflix and they decided to release another season on Netflix. The 2nd show that comes to mind is Freaks and Geeks, another classic show. It is very funny and storyline is great. This is also one of the best comedies I've seen. It takes place in the 80s and it shows you how high school was so much different but at the same time the similarities between life now and then. This show has a cult following now and is also considered as 1 of the best tv shows. For it to only have had 1 season is a shame. These are the 2 shows that came to mind right away when I thought about this topic. I looked for a news article that shows their opinion on this topic so you can have more opinions on it and I found one. The funny thing is that the top 2 shows they put was Arrested Development and Freaks and Geeks. I don't know much about the other shows but you can read about it. If any other shows come to mind post them and why you think that. IMDb: Top 25 Shows That Were Canceled Too Early - a list by maxwellmetyko |

| Those two shows shows ("Freaks and Geeks" and "Arrested Development") are pretty much the modern poster children for shows that were cancelled too soon. There are a couple of other shows that ALMOST made the list though. I remember that "The Office (US)" almost suffered the same fate. NBC wasn't happy with the first season ratings, but the reviews were so good that they decided to give it another season and put their machine behind it and it eventually picked up. "Family Guy" was cancelled twice. Once in 2000 and again in 2002 (while the show was still actually watchable). But then they saw Adult Swim making bank off it and they brought it back. NBC hated "Seinfeld" so much that they originally gave the show just a 4 episode order (most shows get 13 initially). Now its their most lucrative commodity of all time. | |

[pic] Show was incredible. Ratings were decent. It just cost too much to make because every episode was like a movie. | ||

| Recently? Boss... Show was great and had way to much potential to end after 2 seasons.. How can a show be cancelled the same year the lead actor wins a Golden Globe for his performance? | |

| Rome. That show definitely had a few more seasons worth of stories. I think Spartacus is ending too early as well. | |

| Kings, still tops my list. That show was too good and the network didn't do they any favors, I think they changed their time slot 4 or 5 times. It had my man from Deadwood in it giving a boss performance. | |
