British model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley reportedly gave up a job hosting a fashion TV show after she landed a role in the new Mad Max movie.

The Transformers: Dark of the Moon star was picked to present Project Runway All Stars, according to program insiders but backed out just weeks before filming began last month when she was confirmed to appear in long-delayed blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road.

Huntington-Whiteley flew out to Namibia to shoot the film and TV bosses were left scrambling to find a last-minute replacement, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

A source tells the publication, "Literally days before filming, the show suddenly had no host. Rosie had been pushing really hard for the job. She'd charmed everyone. But then with less than three weeks to go, Rosie pulled out to do Mad Max, creating a huge drama."

Model Carolyn Murphy was eventually given the job hosting the show and guest stars have already included Kylie Minogue and Katie Holmes, who fulfilled her commitment despite going public with her divorce news just days before.

Holmes filed for divorce from her husband of five years, Tom Cruise, late last month.

The source adds, "Everyone expected Katie to cancel, but she didn't. She's friendly and professional but didn't say a word about her divorce."
