You would think after Fox cast Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, that it was the worst offense in cinema history. How dare they change the race of a classic character that has been around for 50 years? People complained that it was done because of political correctness, and forced diversity. Obviously that reaction was surprising to many people of color, when for decades, Hollywood has constantly cast some of the whitest actors ever in ethnic minority roles, in which they had absolutely no connection to. Well Hollywood still doesn't care, because photos of the new Ridley Scott movie, Exodus: Gods and Kings have been released, and it shows Christian Bale, Sigourney Weaver & Joel Edgerton depicted in dark skin makeup, portraying Moses & the Egyptian Pharoah. You have a man named CHRISTIAN portraying a Hebrew. You have an AUSTRALIAN, portraying an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh. I studied Egpytian Art History in college, and nobody ever told me that the black people depicted on all of the ancient art, were just white people in dark makeup.
Now you have to ask yourself, how in 2014 is Hollywood still making movies about ancient Africa and the middle east, and still casting white actors in the roles. Well, that's because they just dont give a fu*k about history. White supremacy makes it that only white actors can sell movie tickets, and people of color can only play roles of servants and maids, so just deal with it. Let me just say, I dont ever want to hear any white people complaining about the Human Torch casting again.
