We were spoiled by everything in the 90s and early 2000s. Kids get mostly dumb sh*t these days. At least they have the good CN shows.

yea me and my girl were talking about this recently. Back in the day, i used to force myself to wake up at like 6:30 in the morning to watch cartoons. now we don't even want our son watching the crap that comes on now. it was a wrap after fox kids went away. the HUB plays alot of old-school cartoons tho. who remembers the cartoon block on USA with street f!ghter, savage dragon, and wildcats?

Forgot to mention regular show and obviously adventure time as some great current shows lol

I was up with nothing to do Saturday morning and couldn't find a cartoon on any of big networks, just PBS..

There were some stupid "educational" cartoons on CN and Nick, the ones that do sh*t like teach kids how to pet dogs and all that..

I did watch this dope a.ss show about turtles though

I was NEVER in the house like that
But the only cartoons I ever gave a sh*t about were Turtles & Masters of Universe
I always caught the repeats tho
USA used to run Real Ghostbusters which is a VERY underrated cartoon imo

You can blame the cable companies b/c once the early 00's hit the cable companies ended the Saturday morning sh*t once Cartoon Network hit the scene. The stuff you normally would see like Spider-Man, X-Men etc., is now put on the Cartoon Network at night or during the week.

I remember when I was a kid, back then cable was just getting it's feet wet in the late 80's & early 90's so everybody wasn't on cable just yet. I can remember when ABC, NBC, & CBS all had Saturday morning cartoons & even during the week once you got out of school starting at 3-5pm (some stopped at 4) it would be cartoons on until the news or evening shows came on. They stopped the afternoon cartoons on regular TV around the late 90's-early 00's. The sh*t they put on now on Saturday Morning's on cable/regular TV is truly sad. CW shouldn't even have cartoons on Saturday/Sundays b/c all that sh*t is a bunch of old cartoons they got off from CN from the 00's. At least the Saturday Morning cartoons in the 80's, & 90's were original, these folks ain't even trying no more.

satellite TV had a large part in k!lling off those cartoons to. cable ushered in channels aimed at a specific age group and satellite TV took it to the next level.
