The Dark Knight.
TDKR
BB

After watching the Trilogy tonight, The Dark Knight will always be the best. The visual of the Joker riding outside the window of the cop car is one of the most peacefully chaotic images I've seen in a film.

The thing is, I felt like The Dark Knight Rises was a better done film. But, I think The Dark Knight was more entertaining. I'm really torn.

Like I said in the other thread, at the film's climax, the film was GREAT. Then it just ended as a freefall.

I just remembered what the end reminded me of.

I'll have to stop being such a curmudgeon and give it another shot. I felt like I curbed most of my expectation. I expected the ending to hit me in the gut and leave me disturbed.

Your prop comment was spot on. The one thing I really liked was when Bruce went behind Fox's back to fix the autopilot. That made me like [pic]

The Dark Knight (still the best one)
The Dark Knight Rises (an amazing conclusion)
Batman Begins (a great beginning to the franchise, but still a work in progress compared to the rest of the films).

I happen to LOVE LOVE LOVE the ending.

Now, to be perfectly honest, throughout the first half of the movie, I was just liking it. It was good, the acting was amazing, but I wasn't head over heels over it. But, as the movie progressed, and we got to the last 45 minutes, it was NOTHING but a GIGANTIC payoff to everything they've ever set up in this series of films. Just an awesome and truly astounding conclusion to not just the movie, but the entire franchise. Nolan makes all the emotional beats work, "The Bat" is f*cking awesome, Selina Kyle gets to kick all kinds of[..], and that whole ending set piece just had me completely in under its spell.

Dude, I was pretty close to tears myself, it almost got me. The scene with Alfred at the tombstone just rips your heart out..... Completely.

The Dark Knight Rises - 10/10 (By a second watch I'll see if that's a knee-jerk or fine as it is)
The Dark Knight - 9.5/10 (Could easily, easily be a 10, tough to decide)
Batman Begins - 8.5/10

It's such an amazing trilogy, that it's hard for me to judge them as separate films.

I know... cop out.

I really need to see TDKR a second time before ranking.

I didn't expect this many to have BB last though.
