I saw so many people walk away from Batman with a destroyed soul. Christopher Nolan conquered it. The simple fact is that they DID IT.

I read it that way too...

But, although they haven't spoiled the ending, the people over at SHH thart saw it and answered questions haven't really had that vibe... So I'm thinking not.

The way people are portraying the ending is that either

a) Batman is going to die,

or

b) he just does something that goes against his constitution - like k!lling Bane in front of a bunch of people after he has redeemed himself in the eyes of the people of Gotham as their "White Knight". Giving us the dilemma of whether to do the morally wrong thing for the greater good or the morally right thing and risk Bane destroying the city.

Probably leaving it at a similar dissonance to the ending of Inception where people didn't know whether the top was still spinning or not.

Did anyone mention how long the movie was ?

For two and a half hours, I was completely taken into another world. I experienced that larger than life sensation of watching a perfectly constructed story play out, it really was a palpable feeling. After watching the film, I had a renewed sense of childlike wonder. It felt like I saw “Batman” again for the very first time. As we left the screening room, and parted ways with the PR people, The intuitive Mr. Connelly let me have it. “Ok, now you can let it out” he said. I screamed, like an excited school girl.
