		The cast will feature Harry Shum, Jr. as Kuai Liang, Sub-Zero's younger brother, Casper Van Dien replacing Matt Mullins as Johnny Cage, Brian Tee as Liu Kang, Mark Dacascos as Kung Lao, Ian Anthony Dale returning as Scorpion, and Cary Tagawa reprising his role as Shang Tsung from the first feature film, unrelated to the continuity of Tancharoen's series. Eric Jacobus will play Stryker in Season 2. Jeri Ryan (Sonya), Tahmoh Penikett (Stryker) and Michael Jai White (Jax) are not coming back for season 2. Michael Jai White returning for MK Movie.

nice so they are moving forward with a movie since this web series exceeded there expectations.

What they're doing is using the web-series as a precursor to the movie as far as origin and background stories go it seems. Production on it began the other day so I would[..]ume the movie production would begin sometime in 2013 after the web-series is complete.
